Description
In June 2017, the band released their first album in 25 years, Is This The Life We Really Want?, and the first of three shows was held in Los Angeles on June 20th, a 134-minute digital audience recording of the first day of the tour. The high-end microphone recording reproduces the realistic sound as if you were witnessing a huge spectacle, and even captures the admiring audience. The show was a series of breathtaking spectacles, and was packed with huge video effects that were inherited from the previous year’s show, making it the most cutting-edge entertainment of our time. Highlights include the huge Battersea Power Station that appears with a roar, and “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” that mocks President Trump. In the middle of the show, prior to the album release, numbers such as “When We Were Young”, “Deja Vu”, “The Last Refugee” and “Picture That” are also performed, showing the band’s ongoing stance. As for Floyd numbers, while the previous year’s re-enactment of most of “Fire” and “Animals” was a hot topic, this tour also includes “Another Brick in the Wall Part 3”, which was not performed last year.
