The “US + THEM TOUR” is on track. The masterpiece live album “SACRAMENTO 2017” depicts the 9th performance with the best sound. We present a collection of audience footage from the day, which is becoming a tradition. We have delivered footage from the day to previous albums, but this work is the Sacramento performance version. We have combined masterpiece footage carefully selected for each song to recreate the show as much as possible. Unfortunately, this time, six songs worth of “When We Were Young”, “The Last Refugee”, “Picture That”, “Smell The Roses”, “Vera”, and “Bring The Boys Back Home” were not recorded in time, but you can still get a bird’s-eye view of the whole picture for about 100 minutes. This work is not just a collection of footage. Above all, we place importance on quality, and there are no blurry or shaky cuts. We have created a video work that does not pollute the superb sound of the CD. Another selection criterion is “variety”. The video attached to the simultaneous release of “OAKLAND 2017” this week was focused on “screen image direction”, but this work adopted various viewpoints and aimed to “experience every position”. Therefore, the number of cameras was much more, 8. Of course, this work also features the best screen images captured from a distant view directly in front, but there are also close-ups from the first floor seats on the right side, looking down from the second floor seats, diagonal shots from the stands, and a view from the left side of the stage, etc. … You can comprehensively feel the mood of the venue. Of course, each one of them has an open view with almost no obstructions, and it is a superb seat with excellent stability. The world of images seen from such various viewpoints can also be felt with its tremendous three-dimensionality. Unlike a movie where everyone stares at one screen, the audience is scattered around the stage, and each person is watching only from their own field of vision. The production of “US + THEM” unfolds in such a location, and is packed with plenty of gimmicks that entertain and overwhelm each and every audience member in every position. The various angles also make you realize the depth of the design. Yes, “US + THEM” is not a movie, but a performing art. Being there is an “experience”.
