Description
From the 1978 US tour of Rockpile, formed by Dave Edmonds, the face of the British pub rock scene, with his ally Nick Lowe, the sound from the FM on-air master was recorded from the December 1st live performance in Portland, Oregon. Recorded as a board sound source. Dave shows his love for old R&R with his guitar playing that ranges from Chuck Berry style to rockabilly, and his unique nasal high-tone vocals. And Nick Lowe, who is a good partner and has two heads, has a style that incorporates everything from the Everly Brothers style to Motown, and it matches perfectly. Their timeless and exciting R&R is a must-listen for young and old alike, and with only one original album under their band name, their appeal is definitely their live performances. This is a gem that can be said to be one of the valuable sound sources since it was a short-lived band activity.
