The long-running rights lawsuit has been resolved, and RATT N’ ROLL is back on the move! The best video of their latest live performance is set to be released! In 2014, the band went on hiatus after Stephen Pearcy left the band. After that, a legal battle over the rights to use the band name developed between “Stephen/Warren/Fouan” and “Bobby,” and activities were completely frozen. To summarize the details briefly… In the first place, the name “RATT” was only usable when all four members were together under a “partnership” agreement. However, in 2015, while the band was on hiatus, Bobby gathered unrelated musicians and formed “RATT” by himself. In response, Warren aimed to reunite with the classic lineup, but the two could not come to an agreement. According to Bobby’s side, “Stephen and Warren gave him the rights in 1994,” but the transfer agreement did not include Foan. Therefore, in this lawsuit, the transfer agreement was officially determined to be invalid. As soon as this ruling (November 2016) was made, Stephen, Warren and Foran immediately announced that they would expel Bobby from the partnership. Stephen had predicted, “Get ready for 2017! The real RATT is coming back from the cave.” Now, in 2017, the lineup of “Stephen, Warren and Foran” has finally been restarted with Carlos Cavazo and Jimmy DeGrasso. This work is the latest video of such a “restarted RATT”. It is a superb audience shot of the “Peoria performance on June 1, 2017”. Since it is a good opportunity, let’s organize the outline of the activities from the restart to the present.・February 11: Welch performance・April 26-29: North America #1 (4 performances)・May 28-June 3: North America #2 (4 performances)←★Here★・June 9: SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL・June 15-18: North America #3 (4 performances)・July 7-August 5: North America #4 (6 performances)This is the live activity announced since the ruling (November 2016). It is still sporadic, and you can see that it has just started moving. The Peoria performance in this work was “North America #2”, the 7th concert to restart. The quality is an extremely wonderful ordinance shot. It is natural that the image quality is super clear only with the latest digital shooting, but the visibility is even more wonderful. It is a shot of the first floor seats slightly to the right of the stage (towards Warren), but the viewpoint is high and the stage is directly above the audience’s heads. Even if the audience raised their arms, the view was not blocked, and they could continue to gaze at the entire stage with a wide field of vision. Moreover, the sense of stability was outstanding. The sound was also clear and straight, appropriate for the field of vision, and perhaps it was a recording taken by the venue. The quality of the recording depicts RATT N’ ROLL, as if they were releasing the frustration of a long legal battle! From their debut EP to “Nobody Rides For Free” provided for the movie “POINT BREAK”, the album features a lineup of their greatest hits from their golden age. The axis of the album is, of course, the masterpiece “OUT OF THE CELLAR”, with six of the album’s ten songs played on a grand scale. The show is a perfect example of “THIS IS RATT”. The ensemble that plays the set also has a strong RATT mark. Carlos has been with the band since 2008 and is completely familiar with the band, and Degrasso is frankly better than Bobby. And above all, the front line of Stephen, Warren and Foran is nothing other than RATT. Bobby’s RATT EXPERIENCE was also interesting with a lineup of cool members from the LA metal scene, but this “authenticity” is incomparable. RATT’s golden greatest hits show restarted as it should be. This is a masterpiece video that allows you to experience their live performance with the highest quality. This is a video that makes you look forward to their activities that will be getting more serious from now on and their first visit to Japan in a long time. Live at Limelight Eventplex, Peoria, IL.
