Description

RATT in 1985, when their two major masterpieces were multi-platinum and they entered their heyday. Here is a live album that lets you fully experience the glorious scene. This work was recorded at the “Daily City Performance on December 28, 1985”. It is a powerful audience recording. Speaking of 1985, it was the era when the “OUT OF THE CELLAR Tour” and “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY Tour” that accompanied the two great masterpieces were switched. The meaning of the recording changes depending on the detailed period, so let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of the activities at that time and check the position of this work. 1985, January 4: Honolulu performance; March 20-27: Japan #1 (6 performances) {“INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY” released on June 13}; June 18-August 13: North America #1a (41 performances); August 17: Donington performance ←※MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985, August 20-December 31: North America #1b (86 performances) ←★here★ 1986, February 6-28: UK (17 performances)←※HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1986, April 7-28: Japan #2 (17 performances)←※YOKOHAMA 1986, April 30: Anchorage performance {August 9: DANCING UNDERCOVER” Released December 4-31: North America #2 (18 performances) This is RATT in 1985/1986. The legendary first visit to Japan was a part of the “OUT OF THE CELLAR Tour”, but the Daily City performance of this work was about nine months later. It was the 83rd performance of “North America #1b”, half a year after the release of “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY”. In addition, the masterpiece “DETROIT INVASION 1985” was also left from this “North America #1b”, but this work is three months later. This work, which vacuum-packed such a scene, is a scorching audience. It was excavated from the prestigious “GManOF” collection, which is familiar to HR/HM collectors, and is simply super real. While there is no direct feeling that can be mistaken for a sound board, it seems that the heat of the scene is blowing out of the speakers as it is. If you write it like this, you may imagine a roar full of screams, but that is not the case. Rather, there are almost no close cries, but the performance and vocals that cut through the space feel strangely hot. And between songs, loud cheers that seem to burn the stage from the feet rise (far away). Live albums have various charms, but this work is a masterpiece with excellent realism that makes you feel like you are “right there at the scene”. Such a live sound depicts a stage that condenses the charm of the heyday into one concert. As mentioned above, the masterpiece “DETROIT INVASION 1985” is close to this work, but the set is similar but different. Finally, let’s organize it by comparing. Invasion of Your Privacy (7 songs) Dangerous But Worth The Risk / Give It All (★) / Never Use Love / Closer To My Heart / What You Give Is What You Get (★*) / You Should Know By Now / Lay It Down Others (8 songs) Flames of Desire: Wanted Man / In Your Direction / Back for More / The Morning After / Round and Round Debut EP: Walkin’ the Dog / You Think You’re Tough / Sweet Cheater *Note: “★” marks songs exclusive to this tour. “*” marks songs that were not included in the masterpiece “DETROIT INVASION 1985”. …And so it goes like this. A concentrated version of “Debut EP + 2 albums”. It’s easy to see that it is packed with the most important and most delicious essence in RATT history. It’s a shame that “You’re in Love” that was heard in “DETROIT INVASION 1985” is missing, but instead (?) you can listen to the rare “What You Give Is What You Get”, so this work is actually more delicious. Even though there are few close cries, the enthusiasm spreading through the venue clearly speaks of the peak of their career. This is a live album full of realism that allows you to be present at such a scene. A two-disc set that speaks more eloquently than a hundred words about how much momentum RATT had at that time. A powerful audience recording of the “Daily City performance on December 28, 1985”. It was excavated from the prestigious “GManOF” collection, familiar to HR/HM collectors, and it is a super-realistic sound that makes the heat of the scene seem to blow out of the speakers as it is. The performance and vocals that reach you by cutting through the space are strangely hot, and it has an excellent sense of realism that makes you feel like you are “right there at the scene right now”. The rare song “What You Give Is What You Get” also allows you to experience the delicious scene 100% live. Cow Palace, Daly City, CA, USA 28th December 1985 TRULY AMAZING SOUND Disc 1 (35:45) 1.
