This work includes the “June 8, 2019 SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL” performance. This is the audience shot. However, this work is not a one-shot video. 21st Century RAINBOW, now in its fourth year since its revival, has fewer records than previous years, perhaps because the impact has worn off. Even in the full recording, all performances have not appeared, and the video is almost hopeless. However, that is only if you stick to the “full show”. Countless videos are being released one after another for each song, and it is as active as ever. This work is a reproduction of a full show by carefully examining the video of each song and combining the best shots (some missing parts, such as between songs, are still images). Since we are combining a number of videos, we can’t say “the angle is ○○” or “the stability is △△” all at once, but as we have carefully examined them, they are all above standard. There are close-up shots looking up from almost the front, and there are also professional-quality screen shots that clearly capture the scene screen. You can witness a full show with the highest view currently possible. What really elevates these images is the audio. In fact, it is synchronized with the same super best recording as 2CD. I’ll leave the splendor of the sound to the commentary in the main story, but the persuasive power increases dramatically when the sound, which is “almost an FM soundboard”, is accompanied by images. Richie’s facial expression as he spins the gorgeous Strat sound, Ronnie Romero’s brave figure with a manly roar, and the fantastical mood that gets darker with each song from dusk (just like a California jam!)… Furthermore, the intervals between songs are also wonderful. Even in the parts that were silent on the 2CD, Richie was actively stirring and making eye contact. If you watch this work even once, the imagination of the peak live album will increase several times after that. Although this work is a “video that expands the peak sound”, it is also wonderful to see it as “audio that enhances the video” by reversing the master and slave roles. When combining separate audience shots and audience recordings, the sense of distance and direction may not match, creating a sense of discomfort. This is especially difficult when editing footage from different angles, but this work doesn’t have that worry. The reason for this is close contact sound. As I have repeated many times, this recording does not have a sense of direction or distance like an FM sound board, so it fits perfectly at any angle and does not cause any discomfort. Of course, it is different from the real on-site feeling, but in other words, you can enjoy it as if it were a “live audience version of the PV”. A superb live album that symbolizes RAINBOW in 2019, and this work that will raise the image of the scene. This luxurious set is highly recommended not only for collectors who aim to complete the 21st Century RAINBOW collection, but also for those who only need one book a year.
