After a miraculous comeback concert in 2016, which drew a huge response from HR fans around the world, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow will hold a limited concert again in 2017 as promised. The second day, June 25th, the live performance in Glasgow, Scotland, is recorded in a complete set of digitally remastered audio and video coupling. First of all, among the various audio sources of this day in circulation, it is the highest quality digital audience master, and by further mastering it, it is a different dimension of soundboard level quality. And on this day, instead of “Highway Star”, the show started with “Spotlight Kid”, appealing to the 70s & 80s Rainbow, followed by “I Surrender”, and the set was changed again from the first day, which was a major point, and unfortunately “Still I’m Sad” and “Catch The Rainbow”, which was a staple from the previous year, were dropped from the set. However, instead, “Sixteenth Century Greensleeves” and “Perfect Strangers” were set in, which was the first since the previous year, and “The Temple of the King” was performed for the first time as a revived Rainbow at the end of the main part, which was the best part. After the wonderful performance of “Stargazer”, the excitement of the venue was at its peak when it was connected to “Long Live Rock ‘n Roll” and “Burn”, and the day ended with the lively “Smoke on the Water”. The video DVD was also a multi-camera audience video, and several digital camera footage was professionally edited for 124 minutes, and the best close-ups were of professional shot quality. In particular, in the scene of “Spotlight Kid”, a huge eyeball came down and illuminated the audience with a spotlight from its eye, and the close-up of the performance and the state of the audience were captured alternately, giving it a sense of realism unique to multi-camera.
