Description

Introducing an amazing new excavation master that also includes the extremely rare “Jealous Lover”. This time’s impact master is RAINBOW. This is a superb audience recording of the first act of “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES TOUR” “June 21, 1982 Harrisburg Performance”. Of course, the biggest point of this work is the precious live performance of “Jealous Lover” and the beautiful sound. However, before we get into the details, let’s talk about Shaw’s position. The official video “LIVE BETWEEN THE EYES” is also left for this tour, so let’s compare it and check it from the tour overview. ・May 7th-June 9th: North America #1a (20 performances)《“Blow from Darkness” released on June 10th》》・June 10th-June 29th: North America #1b (15 performances)← ★Coco★・July 10th-August 23rd: North America #2 (32 performances) ← *Official video・September 24th-25th: North America #3 (2 performances)・October 12th-22nd: Japan (8 performances) October 29th – December 3rd: Europe (23 performances) This is RAINBOW in 1982. Before the album was released, they toured around North America for about five months, then moved to Japan and then Europe. The Harrisburg performance of this work is the 9th performance of “North America #1b” which is the beginning. It was a concert about a month before “LIVE BETWEEN THE EYES”. This work, which records such a show, is a fresh audience recording. In fact, a large number of master collections by a recording artist called “luvsufo” are currently being released by the prestigious excavator “Krw_co”, and collectors around the world are excited. This work also appeared as one of them. It is not a close recording that can be mistaken for a sound board, but it is not far away (by any means). The details are vivid and the core jumps straight into your hands, you can clearly hear every word of the lyrics, and you can enjoy the delicate synths. Although the bass is a little far away, the drums are clear, and above all, you can enjoy the all-important Strat sound in a glossy way, even in the smallest phrases with very weak sounds. And beautiful. There are no dubbing marks as it is directly digitized from the master cassette, and it is beautiful anyway. The melting long tones extend smoothly without wavering or distortion, and sharp riffs and casual playful phrases are reproduced exactly as they were on the scene. Although the audience’s enthusiasm is picked up between songs, the important performance sound is as beautiful as a Kinney recording. Moreover, this work further refines such a superb recording with meticulous mastering. Although we haven’t made any major changes, we have made minor adjustments in various areas to improve the completeness of the musical piece. There are various things, but the most important one is distortion correction. The original sound was also incredibly stable, but it wasn’t perfect, and the tape shook during the intro, “Pomp and Circumstance,” and the final riff of “Woman from Toyko” produced a squealing sound, and the pitch was off by about a semitone. . “Krw_co” accurately left the truth of the master, but in this work, those parts are also beautifully corrected. Next, I added the beginning part of the opening riff of “Power”, which was slightly missing (?), from other parts to make it complete. Although each is a small correction, you can enjoy the full show seamlessly without any problems. Conversely, the original recording was so good that it became perfect with this level of correction. The show drawn with such a sound is a rare show where the rare song “Jealous Lover” is also dazzling. Speaking of “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES TOUR”, “LIVE BETWEEN THE EYES” is the standard, so let’s organize the set while comparing it. ●DOWN TO EARTH (2 songs)・All Night Long・Songs that cannot be heard on LIVE BETWEEN THE EYES: Since You Been Gone ●DIFFICULT TO CURE (4 songs)・Spotlight Kid/Can’t Happen Here/Difficult To Cure・LIVE BETWEEN Songs that cannot be heard on THE EYES: I Surrender ●Straight Between the Eyes (4 songs)・MISS Mistreated/Tearin’ Out My Heart/Stone Cold/Power ●Other・Blues/Smoke On The Water・LIVE BETWEEN Songs that cannot be heard on THE EYES : Jealous Lover There are some songs that are just touches like a medley, so it’s not necessarily a complete performance, but it’s like this. While faithful to the basics of “STRAIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES TOUR,” “Since You Been Gone” and “I Surrender,” which could not be heard in the traditional official video, are also delicious. And above all, “Jealous Lover”. Normally, I would fall into “Long Live Rock’n’Roll” following the drum solo, but on this day I will be playing “Jealous Lover”. I don’t know exactly how many performances it was played, but it is an extremely rare number that has only been recorded for about 5 performances in the sound source, and moreover, it is played in two choruses longer than the famous New York recording. Furthermore, even in “Smoke On The Water”, Richie’s “No Release” is rare in the intro, and when he started playing the intro of “Woman from Toyko” at the end of the encore, the venue’s time limit came up, and Joe The scene where he apologizes to the audience is also rare. You can enjoy all of them with the finest sound. Even just excavating the master over a long period of 37 years is amazing, but this is a shocking piece that allows you to enjoy the sound that exceeds expectations and the precious “Jealous Lover”.
