Description

A treasured live album that suddenly appeared in modern times has been decided to be released. This work is one that was recently released by the recording artist himself. This is an audience recording of “Nottingham performance on September 12, 1983”. The biggest point of this work is that you can experience the unknown Nottingham performance with special quality sound. After all, since it is a public release by the recording artist himself, there is no generation, and you can enjoy plenty of unmistakable master quality. In fact, the sound of this work is truly wonderful. When you play it, the core of the music is loud and the details are vivid. Although it’s not the type of song that sounds like a soundboard, the guitars and vocals move forward, giving you no sense of distance, and even a slight howl is engraved in a realistic way. Of course, the enthusiasm of the audience is contained, but it never interferes with the performance. The feeling that arises between songs is like a radio broadcast, and it is a wonderful audience sound for its first appearance. Although the basic quality of this work is excellent, there are some flaws. First of all, the beginning is missing. It appears that the train this recordist was on was delayed, and he was unable to make it in time for the performance. I quickly pressed the record button, but it ended up halfway through the first song, “Spotlight Kid.” The bad luck continued. Although we continued to record well, the battery unexpectedly ran out during the encore. It doesn’t suddenly stop, but as the encore progresses, the sound gradually becomes distorted… It doesn’t make the sound particularly squishy, but it feels like the musical tone is cracking. There is a great roar at the end. It’s a shame. Too bad! That being said, from the second song “Miss Mistreated” until before the encore, it is a great recording with no complaints. In fact, it is packed with plenty of passionate performances suitable for great sound, and is one of the best performances on the 1983 home tour. This “1983 England” has been reported with numerous masterpieces, and the definitive Kinney recording “LONDON 1983 2ND NIGHT” has also been made into a CD. Check out the lineup here.・September 6th + 7th: Liverpool ・September 8th: Tyne & Wear “WHITLEY BAY 1983” ・September 10th: Stafford ・September 11th: Bristol ・September 12th: Nottingham [This work]・September 14th: Cardiff ・September 15th: Cardiff “DEFINITIVE CARDIFF 1983” ・September 17th: London “LONDON 1983 1ST NIGHT” ・September 18th: London “LONDON 1983 2ND NIGHT” ・September 19th : Cornwall “ST AUSTELL 1983″ September 22nd + 23rd: Edinburgh Total of 13 performances. This UK tour is also the kickoff date for “BENT OUT OF SHAPE TOUR 1983-1984”, and the Nottingham performance of this work is the 6th performance. It’s a delicious timing just as the band’s engine has just warmed up. In fact, Richie in this work is in high spirits, and Joe’s singing voice is also wonderful. “Catch the Rainbow” is lustrous, “Fire Dance” is fiery, and the stop-and-go of “All Night Long” is also vividly determined. Whether it’s the show structure or the ensemble, there’s plenty of “1983/1984” flavor. The excitement of the audience who witnessed it was amazing, and the long-awaited “Smoke On The Water/Woman From Tokyo” roared out a tremendous chorus. Good sound, good songs, and good performance. Also, the mood of the venue was good. It is truly a mirror of a great recording. That’s why the missing head and distortion at the end are so disappointing… However, the release may have been delayed because of its shortcomings, but I am grateful that such music and recordings have emerged from the darkness of history. It’s not an ironclad piece that won’t leak water, but I’d like to share this information with those who can enjoy it and understand it.
