Description
In 1975, Rainbow’s fourth live performance on Long Island in New York on November 14th was recorded with a good audience recording. Throughout, Ronnie’s vocals and the instrumental part at the beginning of the song are recorded quite clearly from beginning to end, and the sound of each part is also clear. First of all, Richie’s solo in the intro convinces me of the wonderful sound quality. And it is rare that the opening song of this period is Do You Close Your Eyes, and the second song is Self Portrait, which is the first song recorded. Also, Ronnie’s vocal improvisation in the second half is worth listening to, and the early version of Stargazer that follows the keyboard solo is a must-listen. The melody of Ronnie’s 2-minute chorus is unfinished, so you can hear his original singing at that part, and it is also important to note that the arrangement of the part that returns to the vocals after the guitar solo has not yet been completed. check. And A Light In The Black is played as a medley, and this song also has Ronnie’s vocals, which is incredibly powerful. And Richie’s solo that follows the keyboard that makes full use of portamento pitch bend is also amazing, and it’s the best of the best take where everything explodes. Also, the 6-minute drum solo is recorded with clear sound, and it is absolutely impressive. Disc 1 : 1. Guitar Intro. 2. Do You Close Your Eyes 3. Self Portrait 4. 16th Century Greensleeves 5.
