Description

Kinney recordings have continued to convey the true value of “DIFFICULT TO CURE TOUR 1981” to the present day with its sound and performance. This time, the original cassette has been reborn as the ultimate sound “HAMMERSMITH 1981 1ST NIGHT”, but it is the original 3-disc LP “A PARIS 1981” that has elevated this masterpiece to the legendary level. . To commemorate the birth of the ultimate edition, we will present you with a live album that is a straight reproduction of the traditional original LP sound. This work is based on the original 3-disc set of “A PARIS 1981.” Recently, reprints of LP bootlegs have been well received, and this work is also a collection of core collectors in Japan who provided those original LPs. As the numerous reprints have proven, this time too it’s an analog record in such excellent condition that you’d think it’s brand new, and it’s been digitized straight away. We have reproduced the LP sound itself without any modification (there is no way to modify it) other than treating the slight needle crackling noise. What flows from this work is the same sound that I have loved for many years. The warm, calming flavor intensely stimulates the nasal passages, and seems to penetrate all the way to the memory center of the brain. The pitch is slightly lower, and the cheering parts such as before the start, before the end, and during the encore, as well as “Over The Rainbow” are cut out, just like the analog version. Although it is not as good as the brilliant original cassette HAMMERSMITH 1981 1ST NIGHT in terms of audio, its clarity is truly legendary, and it is a high quality sound that stands out among the many LP reprints. If the original cassette was not discovered, it would be no surprise to just correct the pitch and make it into a CD. Also, of the 3-LP set, the Hammersmith performance is up to the third A-side. For some reason, the third B-side includes Budokan’s “August 26, 1981”. In this work, this part has also been reproduced in its entirety. It’s a bold composition typical of the analog era, but it’s also a high-quality sound that rivals the main Hammersmith. What is this hopeless feeling that comes up? I would go so far as to call it “nostalgia,” but just like the album “DIFFICULT TO CURE,” the sound is directly connected to the “1981 RAINBOW image.” Even after listening to the fresher, clearer, and ultimate beautiful sound, the “sound” of this work is irresistible and shakes the depths of your heart. If the original cassette breathes in the atmosphere of the “scene”, this work is steeped in the atmosphere of that store where expensive analog records were displayed… This is an album that may move your heart even more than the great excavation of HAMMERSMITH 1981 1ST NIGHT. Please enjoy the scent unique to that era and that area wafting from the speakers to your heart’s content.
