Description

The true identity of this work is “VIDEO: MINDCRIME”, which was released in 1989, the year after the album. “OPERATION: MINDCRIME” is a monumental concept album that tells a story with a level of perfection that has never been surpassed. It was a video work created with the purpose of “seeing that world with your own eyes.” QUEENSRYCHE’s advanced attempts attracted a lot of attention, but due to the fate of the 1980s, it was soon discontinued. After that, a deluxe edition of “OPERATION: MINDCRIME” was released in conjunction with the production of the sequel in 2006, and although it was also made into an official DVD as a bonus, that is now out of print. Nowadays, even second-hand items are at a premium price. This work is a reprint of such “VIDEO: MINDCRIME” from the highest peak master. Since the original is an official work, the quality is of course completely official. In the 90’s, inferior VHS discs were available, but this work is on a completely different level. And, to put it simply, the contents are a collection of clips. At the time, they weren’t big enough to film the entire album, and clips for 9 of the 15 songs (“Spreading The Disease” in the middle, “Electric Requiem” and “My Empty Room” were omitted) were produced. Ta. Although it is not a complete version of the story, its quality is top notch. While the main focus is on performance scenes, there are also plenty of scenes from the story. The main characters Nicky, Sister Mary, and Doctor Of course, the performance scene is also wonderful. The five people who perform on stage are youthful, and Scott Rockenfield’s banging, Michael Wilton’s twirling, and Chris DeGarmo’s flashy behavior are all gorgeous. And Geoff Tate, who frequently shares the microphone with the members while expressing the story in a pantomime style. Now you can fully enjoy the honeymoon period of “those five people” that you can no longer hope for. In addition to the main story, this work also includes three bonus videos. This is a TV spot that promotes another version of “I Don’t Believe in Love”, a documentary that goes behind the scenes of the filming of the clip, and “OPERATION: MINDCRIME”, in which you can see a lot of story scenes in split screen. What is shown in each frame are the five people who created “OPERATION: MINDCRIME”, and it is a rich scent that can only be found in the late 1980s. QUEENSRYCHE – VIDEO: MINDCRIME 1.
