QUEEN + Adam Lambert have finally resumed touring following the global success of the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The first masterpiece live album is now available. This work includes “July 30, 2019 Washington Performance”. This is a superb audience recording that records one act of “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” currently in progress. This tour will continue with a performance in Japan next year. In 2019, I toured North America in the summer and took a break there. Next year I plan to travel to Asia and Oceania. This work is the first report of “THE RHAPSODY TOUR”. This was the 11th concert of the “North American” leg. This work that recorded such a show is a really neat audience recording. It is not the type that can be mistaken for a sound board, and it picks up some hall noise, but it is wonderful because it is transformed into beauty. The straight core is powerful, and the atmosphere is transparent, so even the subtlest details can be seen through. The faint sound of the hall that rises from the core is exquisitely beautiful, and that chorus seems to fall from heaven. That alone gives me goosebumps, but the huge chorus in the vast venue also follows. The venue, Capital One Arena, is a venue with a capacity of 20,000 people, and the spectacle of the huge chorus that erupts there is as divine as a church. The show depicted in this world of beauty is truly amazing. This will be their 5th tour since their start in 2012, and this time it’s really fresh, including repertoire that has never been shown before. Since 2015, Adam’s solo songs have also been performed, but this time it was only QUEEN, perhaps because of the movie’s huge success. Of course, there are a lot of representative songs, but among them, the accents are “In The Lap of the Gods… Revisited” and “’39”, which are back for the first time in four years, and “Now I”, which is back for the first time in five years. A group of famous songs such as “m Here”. “Keep Yourself Alive” was also performed at the Tel Aviv performance three years ago, but this is the first time in seven years that it has become a regular. And the biggest highlight is two rare songs with Adam that will be released for the first time. One is his debut work “Doing All Right” and the other is “Machines (Or ‘Back to Humans’)” from “THE WORKS”. Both have never been played by QUEEN + Paul Rodgers, and “Doing All Right” is a revival for the first time in 42 years since 1977. It’s a short version of about 1 minute, but it’s moving to see Roger → Adam sing with only a gentle guitar in the background. And “Machines (Or ‘Back to Humans’)” was also the opening of the original QUEEN’s “THE WORKS TOUR”, and this is the first time it will be performed on stage in earnest. What’s even more noteworthy is “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It usually starts with the ballad part of “Mama, just killed a man♪”, but this time the tape is played for the a cappella part before that, and Adam’s singing voice covers it, the complete version. You can enjoy many such valuable and fresh performances with wonderful sound. Due to the success of the silver screen, QUEEN has become a huge hit several times and never before. “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” is not a solo song by Adam, but a breath of fresh air with rare songs by QUEEN, and is full of enthusiasm as if the heyday has been revived.
