Description

“THE RHAPSODY TOUR” is moving forward towards its Japan tour next year. The latest live album is now available. This work includes “August 13, 2019 Columbus Performance”. This is the best audience recording. Three live albums will be released simultaneously as the first report of “THE RHAPSODY TOUR”. Please refer to the explanation of “WASHINGTON 2019” for the entire tour, but here we will focus on the “North American leg” currently in progress and organize the positional relationship of each title. ・July 10-28 (10 performances) ・July 30 “WASHINGTON 2019” ・July 31 + August 3 (2 performances) ・August 4 “MANSFIELD 2019” ・August 6-10 Sunday (4 performances)・August 13th: Columbus performance ←★This work★・August 15th-18th (3 performances) >>Now here<<・August 20th-23rd (3 performances) This is 2019 A total of 25 performances scheduled for 2020. There are already three performances left, and after that they will be taking a break until their Asia tour early next year. Among them, this work’s Columbus is the 19th concert nearing the end. It is the latest live album that has only been a week since the actual release. This work, which records many shows, is an exquisite spectacle sound. The three works released simultaneously this week are each unique masterpiece recordings, but this work has the best listenability and total balance. Although it absorbs the slight sound of the hall, it does not become cloudy or muddy, and beautifully colors the exposed core. The key point is the strength of the core that cuts through the middle of the sound. Normally, the sound of the hall causes a sense of distance, but in the case of this work, the core is very active, so it doesn’t feel far away. Rather, the sound adds depth to the performance, making it powerful and even dynamic. The ringing does not impair the strength of the heart sound, but on the contrary gives power…It is such a rare recording. And the balance of enthusiasm is also wonderful. “MANSFIELD 2019”, which was released at the same time, had an otherworldly feeling as if the chanting was recorded in a line, but this one is rather spectacular in its thickness that extends far into the distance. Although you are never bothered by close screams, the sound spreads seamlessly from nearby applause to distant screams, and each drop is clear. The huge audience caused a tremendous swell, heating up the show more and more. The chorus follows Adam’s singing voice thickly and erupts like an active volcano as the MC praises Freddie. It is a unified sound that is fused with the exquisite hall sound. The show drawn with that sound makes me think about the upcoming performance in Japan. QUEEN+Adam has come to Japan twice so far, in 2014 and 2016, but there are plenty of famous songs that I couldn’t hear there. In addition to “Doing All Right” and “Machines (Or ‘Back to Humans’),” which were performed for the first time, there are also other songs such as “Keep Yourself Alive,” “I’m In Love With My Car,” and “Bicycle Race.” (This day, I made a mistake at the start and started over.)” and “’39,” which were songs that they didn’t perform on their second visit to Japan. Although it is not guaranteed that they will perform at the concert in Japan in January next year (in Japan, “Hand in Hand” and “I Was Born to Love You” will also be included), it is a live album that is highly anticipated. “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” is wrapped in a glorious mood reminiscent of the heyday of the 80s. This is a live album where you can fully experience the latest version with the best sound. In contrast to the fresh “WASHINGTON 2019” at the beginning of the tour, and “MANSFIELD 2019”, which has a surprising sound that will blow you away, this work is a comprehensive work with excellent listenability and dynamism. Although it is a masterpiece triptych that is no inferior to any other, this work may be the best if you consider the performance of “Bicycle Race” and the ensemble that has become more proficient over the years.
