Description

Yoyogi in 1985 was Freddie’s last performance in Tokyo and a symbol of “THE WORKS JAPAN TOUR.” The world’s first public master will be released. This work includes, of course, the “May 11, 1985: National Yoyogi Stadium” performance. This show was broadcast on TV and radio, and was made into an official work as “FINAL CONCERT LIVE IN JAPAN”. The best soundboard album in history, “DEFINITIVE FINAL CONCERT IN TOKYO,” is very popular at our store. As it has been introduced in numerous media, it is a symbolic concert that comes to mind first when we say “QUEEN’s last Japan”. This work is a masterpiece audience recording recorded at the scene. It is a live album that allows you to experience a super famous show from the “audience side” rather than the “band side” such as soundboards and professional shots. Let’s check the show’s position in the schedule here. ・May 8th + 9th: Nippon Budokan ・May 11th: Yoyogi National Stadium [This work] ・May 13th: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium ・May 15th: Osaka Castle Hall A book that records such a symbolic night The work and sound quality are also strangely wonderful. This is the world’s first public master that has never been released before, but it is as clear as a clear blue sky. Although it is not so close that it is said to be “like a sound board,” the atmosphere is clear and the playing and singing voices reach straight to your fingertips without stagnation. What’s more, the venue’s acoustics gave Freddie’s singing voice a sense of expansive scale, doubling the exhilaration and elation. It was a spectacle as the singing voices that had been overheard on the soundboard reverberated from every corner, dominating the space… What’s more, that neat sound even reaches the point of loud cheers. Of course, it is not a recording that is plagued by strange voices and screams. From close-up handclaps to far-off singing voices, each grain is delicate, and the three-dimensional feeling is wonderful because it is drawn in perspective. With each member’s every move, the screams come and go in waves, and the calm but steady chorus spreads out endlessly. For example, “Tie Your Mother Down.” The handclaps assimilated with the rhythm section from the beginning of the song are wonderful, but when Brian comes out for the guitar solo, a tremendous wave of screams arises. Although the playing sounds and singing voices are the main characters in this work, a huge mountain of screams rushes down to the bottom. What’s more, these mountains wriggled all over the venue. Furthermore, the songs are also strangely fresh. For example, after “Under Pressure”, “Somebody To Love” starts in about 10 seconds on FM broadcast, but in this work there is a gap of 35 seconds. Of course, it would be meaningless if there was just silence, but even then the audience cheered on stage, and the members’ appearances were conveyed in the form of screaming movements. The document is drawn with beautiful sound precisely because it is unedited. The FM broadcast version of this day also had a large mix of cheers for a sound board, but the realism of the live performance was still overwhelming. Moreover, you can enjoy the detailed sense of reality that only comes from the finest sound. As long as there is actually a super superb sound board, there is no need for an excessively line-like sound, and this reality is wonderful. Unfortunately, what was recorded was a 90-minute tape, and it ended with “Bohemian Rhapsody”. There was nothing left after that. Imperfect and complete soundboards are popular. The sound is full of “beauty” because it is an audience, and the experience of witnessing Freddie’s last performance in Tokyo is irreplaceable. An amazing new discovery that only those who are familiar with customer records and know their taste should experience.
