Description
A miraculous discovery of the famous recording Omoto cassette that conveyed the highlight performance even during the legendary first visit to Japan!!! The highlight performance that was absorbed into the Omoto cassette was “May 1, 1975: Nippon Budokan” ”. This is an audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. Their first visit to Japan was truly special. Not only was it important to the Japanese people, but it was also an incident that is always mentioned when talking about QUEEN history. Because it was such an important tour, we have archived it with as many masterpiece recordings as possible. First, let’s organize the collection and look back at the position of this work.・April 19th: Nippon Budokan ・April 22nd “NAGOYA 1975” ・April 23rd “COMPLETE KOBE 1975” ・April 25th: Fukuoka City Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium ・April 28th “FATAL ATTRACTION (Okayama)” ”・April 29th “TSUMAGOI 1975”・April 30th: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium・May 1st: Nippon Budokan ←★This work★ *Only representative works are included in each performance. [Omoto cassette that sucked in a totally different authentic sound] All of the above, 8 performances. It’s an impressive schedule for his first visit to Japan, but the first and last day will be at Nippon Budokan. This work is a live album that permanently preserves the last day. Several recordings of this show have been known, and “AN EXCEPTIONAL LEGACY” has been very popular at our store. This work is the source of that masterpiece. . . . It’s not a completely different recording. It is a recording that appeared as “FIRST LIVE ATTACK” over 20 years ago. I’m sure some people will say, “Oh, that’s nostalgic!”, but in reality, this work is very different from those memories. The cassettes brought in through their own route are undoubtedly the origin of the label, but the listening experience is completely different. It is certain that the pre-show part and the post-show part are recorded for a (slightly) long time, but what is even more shocking is the sound. If you are familiar with “FIRST LIVE ATTACK”, you may remember the sound of the high notes sticking out and the applause pounding, but in reality, that was a “created sound”. What came out of the original cassette was a fatter, thicker sound that felt closer. Perhaps “FIRST LIVE ATTACK” reflected the trends at the time it was discovered (around 1999). Equalizing that emphasizes sharpness forcibly raises the attack and increases sound pressure. On top of that, intense hiss reduction was applied, resulting in a super-processed sound that did not preserve its original form. However, the Omoto cassette is supernatural. It’s not just beautiful, but the “core” that was lost in “FIRST LIVE ATTACK” is strong, and the minute details are left, so you can feel that “QUEEN is right in front of you.” In fact, the uniqueness of this recording is its balance with an emphasis on bass. For that reason, in “FIRST LIVE ATTACK”, the edge was probably emphasized in order to create an instant impact when you first heard it, but clearly the original sound is more natural and beautiful, and has a lot of direct feeling. [Budokan on the last day, which was the highlight of the legendary first visit to Japan] Such a shocking Omoto master, but this work takes full advantage of its merits and also plans to upgrade it. One is length. As you can see from the fact that it starts from the cut-in, every second of the sound sucked into the original cassette is utilized, but cuts at tape changes are still inevitable. Therefore, in this work, Brian May’s guitar solo (about 45 seconds) and the rock ‘n’ roll medley at the end (about 3 minutes), which were cut, were patched with a separate recording “AN EXCEPTIONAL LEGACY”. The complete form of the show was realized. And the other thing is pitch. In fact, even though the sound of “FIRST LIVE ATTACK” had been significantly modified, the pitch was out of whack. This work aims to do the opposite. We have faithfully reproduced the “sound of the field” by keeping the original sound intact and adjusting the pitch accurately. The show drawn with such a sound is a passionate performance that is truly a highlight. On their first visit to Japan, every show was filled with passionate performances, but on the final day, the feeling of success was overflowing and overflowing. Moreover, since it is not only the Japan tour but also the entire “SHEER HEART ATTACK TOUR”, there is a sense of freedom that does not require thinking about tomorrow’s condition. The Japanese MCs such as “We are very happy to be back in Tokyo” and “Arigatou” are very energetic, and even the extremely rare songs “Great King Rat” and “Hangman” pop out. The bond between QUEEN and Japan continues until Freddie’s death… no, until the present in 2020. This is a masterpiece of a live album that allows you to fully experience the final day of your first visit to Japan. A 2-disc set that revives the “true sound” that Omoto cassettes were imbued with, and permanently preserves valuable records in their correct form. This is the scene of the final day at Nippon Budokan. Inhale this scent to your heart’s content. Uses the master cassette of “First Live Attack” (Private Master PM007/008) released in 1999. The previous edition has unreasonable equalization, pitch deviation, and poor generation (probably due to hiss reduction), so this edition is overwhelmingly better.
