Description

Live album of “November 3, 1982 Seibu Stadium Performance”. However, it is not the official sound board that has been known so far, nor is it the familiar recording of “SPACE BOOGIE”. It is an audience recording that will be released for the first time in the world. In the first place, the official video of this show was so famous that almost no audience recordings were available. Therefore, “SPACE BOOGIE”, which conveys the full show of the day, was welcomed, but the audience recording of the day was not the only one. There was a masterpiece recording that had not been distributed among collectors until now. That is this work. The quality is a vintage recording with wonderful clarity. As expected, I can’t expect a core as strong as “SPACE BOOGIE,” but since Seibu Stadium doesn’t have a roof to reflect sound, the playing sound and singing voice will reach you straight and clear. Moreover, since it is a master direct, the freshness without dubbing deterioration is outstanding, and the sound is extremely fresh. Even though there is a sense of distance, you can clearly enjoy the details. What’s even more amazing is the documentary feel of the time. Although the conversation is not as vivid as the “SPACE BOOGIE” master, there is a wide clap that is typical of 80’s Western music fans, and the call and response and loud chorus are extremely realistic and thick, and are thrown at Freddie’s every move. The cheering was also enthusiastic. What’s more, the clearness of the open space allows for the breath of the audience to flow freely, giving it a sense of openness. You can completely immerse yourself in the spectacle of a huge stadium. Although it is such a clear sound, there is a reason why this work was not released. Actually, the middle part of the show is completely missing. Although the first half is included from “Flash”, the tape change is made at “Dragon Attack/Now I’m Here (reprise)”, which is less than 40 minutes old. Recording resumed from “Fat Bottomed Girls”, and after that it was recorded until the end of the show. In other words, all five songs + guitar solo from “Love Of My Life” to “Under Pressure” are missing. To go into more detail, in fact, only the second half of this recording has been circulated in the past. However, the first half is a genuine world premiere. It is unknown whether the middle part was recorded and the tape was damaged, or whether it was not originally recorded. In any case, all that exists is 78 minutes and 12 seconds of this work. Another look at Seibu Stadium has been revealed after 37 years. Although it is not a complete recording, it is an extremely valuable new audience recording that no one has ever heard before. This is a treasured piece for collectors who can’t get enough of the standard pro shots. Live at Seibu Stadium, Saitama, Japan 3rd November 1982 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(from Original Masters) (78:12) 01.
