Description
This work is a remaster of the recording that was once released as the 2CD “SPACE BOOGIE” and was sold out. It is a completely original recording that was directly digitized from the cassette directly handed over from the recordist himself. Of course, since it is a full recording, it also includes the complete songs “We Will Rock You (fast)”, “Action This Day”, “Calling All Girls, Get Down”, “Body Language”, “Fat Bottomed Girls”, and “Another One Bites The Dust”, which are not available officially. This is a very popular recording. The secret of its popularity is beyond even the wonderfulness of the songs and sounds that are not officially released. It is a terrifyingly realistic sense of presence. It picks up a lot of conversations in the audience, making it feel like you are right there. Of course, the main focus of the recording is the performance, so you don’t have to worry about the content of the conversations during the performance, but the conversations between songs are very honest, and they bring back the feelings of the time. To name a few, “Isn’t (disbanding) the only option? Communication is so bad,” “I’m sick of it. I’m never coming to an outdoor venue in November. It’s too cold! I’m not coming no matter what!” “I bet the people playing are cold too,” “I’m so hungry,” and so on. In “Body Language,” they talk to each other, ignoring the song (I repeat, they talk while playing, but that’s about it), but by the end of the show, when they play a flurry of their signature songs, the conversation stops and they’re overjoyed. Instead, you can hear the chorus and cries of ecstasy. By the last song, “We Are The Champions” and “God Save The Queen,” the ecstasy is so great that it can only be described as “@%&¥:*;`’”$+? ! !” What honest reactions (laughs). The “Yeah!” and “Encore! Encore!”, which sound like nothing more than hiragana, are also a clear indication of the time when Western music was booming. Among them, “Teo Torriatte” stands out as having a particularly documentary feel. At the chorus, the song switches from English to Japanese, but even though Roger was adding the key ingredient at that point, Brian started playing the chords of the A melody, causing a huge confusion in the song’s progression. A flustered Freddie sang a random melody with “Ah” to cover up the situation. The audience switched back to singing in Japanese correctly, but burst into laughter at the sudden big mistake. You can also hear the voices saying “What? What? (laughs)”. After that, the song gets back on track and gets excited with the Japanese chorus, but the audience’s singing sounds like they’re having fun. It seems like they’re smiling with affection, not with bitterness or sneer at QUEEN for making a mistake. As mentioned in the commentary on the main press DVD, this scene was actually edited in the official footage, as if there was no mistake. It is a work that is full of beauty in itself, but on the other hand, the feelings of the audience who warmly enjoy the big mistake are not conveyed. Normally, the singing and conversations of the audience are just a nuisance and make you want to say, “Shut up, guys,” but this work is a precious exception. It’s fun, happy, and moving because of the audience’s reaction. At the end, this work ends with conversations like, “I’m burned out!” and “The applause is amazing, but as soon as the (house lights) come on, everyone stops right away (laughs).” This is a documentary album that will make you feel like you’re at an autumn festival, whether you’ve made it to the venue or not. It’s a film that makes you want to say, “QUEEN, that was fun, wasn’t it?” A warm record of QUEEN and us, who were happy. Please enjoy it to the fullest, along with the official beautiful footage.
