Description
QUEEN + Adam Lampert’s “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” continues to excite sound source enthusiasts even after the Japan tour ends. The ultimate original recording, which is the decisive blow, is now available for the first time. What is engraved on this work is “January 28, 2020: Kyocera Dome Osaka.” It is a transcendental audience recording. Our store started with breaking news reports during the tour, and is currently introducing the top recordings of each show. In this work, the West Japan edition in the latter half of the tour has been permanently preserved, and the top works of all shows are now available. First, let’s organize the collection by date.・January 25th “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 1ST NIGHT” ・January 26th “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 2ND NIGHT” ・January 28th: Kyocera Dome Osaka ←★This work★ ・January 30th “NAGOYA 2020”* Note: Album only for each day. [Complete first appearance master that is unprocessed and super exquisite] Above, all 4 performances. The pinnacle works of the Kanto edition that have been released, “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 1ST NIGHT” and “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 2ND NIGHT” have been very well received, but this work and “NAGOYA 2020” have also been released. You can now enjoy all performances. Even within such a series, this work is special. As a matter of fact, the other three performances are remastered versions of previously released masters that have been released into their ultimate form. It was the pinnacle of the recordings received immediately after the show, but in the end no master surpassed it after that. However, Osaka was different. This work is a genuine, complete first appearance master. I also tried mastering the masterpiece “OSAKA DOME 2020” which was a breaking news release, but this work is a super-excellent recording that can be surpassed by a real mom! In fact, the quality is superb. Anyway, his core is strong and he has no sense of distance. During the MC between songs, you can hear Adam’s voice echoing through the venue, but once the performance begins, you can hardly feel the venue ringing. Strictly speaking, there is some ringing, but the density of the core is so high that the details are so vivid and detailed that it feels transparent. Moreover, it is extremely natural. “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 1ST NIGHT”, “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 2ND NIGHT”, and “NAGOYA 2020”, which we introduced the other day, have been finished with as natural a balance as possible, but they are not unprocessed. If you are familiar with audio, you may have felt the peak of the guitar when listening to it microscopically with headphones. However, this work does not even have that. While reproducing the Kyocera Dome space naturally and faithfully, it has a vividness that is not typical of dome recordings. That’s no wonder, this work was recorded by Mr. “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”, who is well known at our store. He is a master among masters and needs no introduction, but this work stands out among his collection. This is the “strongest” collection, which has always been rated as “like a soundboard” and “better than the actual sound”, but most of it is club-sized or hall-sized. Although the dome recording was above average, it was at the level of “amazing for a dome”. However, this work achieves “that sound” that can be mistaken for a hall recording in a dome! Furthermore, the audience noise is also noteworthy. This time, “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” has been extremely popular since the 1980s, and famous recordings from all over the country are also absorbing enthusiasm. Even during the preliminary report on “OSAKA DOME 2020,” applause and conversation could be heard. However, this work has very little of that. Although it cannot be said that it is “none” like Mr. “Strongest”‘s hall recording, you can fully immerse yourself in the stage performance sound and Adam’s singing voice to a degree that is incomparable to other works. [Glorious Osaka performance preserved forever] The show depicted with that sound is a treasure chest of masterpieces. In the past two visits to Japan, the set changed daily, but this time it was almost the same for the 4 performances in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. The set contents, which had the largest number of songs ever, have been repeated many times, so let’s organize the set based on past Osaka performances. Songs we played last time in Osaka (2014): Now I’m Here/Seven Seas of Rhye/Killer Queen/Somebody to Love/Another One Bites the Dust/Love of My Life/Crazy Little Thing Called Love/Under Pressure/ Who Wants to Live Forever/Radio Ga Ga/Bohemian Rhapsody/We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions・Japan limited song: Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)/I Was Born To Love You This time, it was performed for the first time in Osaka. Songs: Since 1998 (Brian solo): I Want It All / The Show Must Go On / ’39 / Hammer to Fall / Tie Your Mother Down – Since 1985: Keep Yourself Alive / Dragon Attack / I Want to Break Free・Since 1979: Don’t Stop Me Now/I’m in Love With My Car/Bicycle Race ・Since 1976: In the Lap of the Gods… Revisited/Doing All Right…And so it goes like this. I am. If we limit it to Osaka, the last time was QUEEN + Adam’s first visit to Japan (2014), and before that the party played the QUEEN number on Brian’s “ANOTHER WORLD TOUR”. Before that was Freddie’s last “THE WORKS TOUR” before his death, and there were plenty of famous songs since the 70s/80s. Especially valuable are “I Want It All” and “The Show Must Go On.” It was performed on Brian’s solo tour in 1998, but this is the first time in Osaka under the name of QUEEN. The venue for the solo performance was IMP Hall, so it was probably the first time for most of the people to see a live performance. And it’s also fulfilling in terms of performance. This show will be their 5th performance in 2020, including the Korean performance just before coming to Japan. No matter how great of a veteran he is, he still needs to perform at a number of venues before he can show his true potential, and this performance in Japan is a step in which he is improving his performance. Although it is a general theory, the 5th performance is just when the set gets used to the body and full power begins, and you can feel the ensemble of the uphill tone from this work as well. “THE RHAPSODY TOUR” created an enthusiasm comparable to the heyday in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. I think many people will seek audience recording as a memory of the concert they actually attended, but the quality of this work exceeds that dimension. Among the four masterpiece titles, this is a super masterpiece that stands at the top not only for its direct feeling but also for its overwhelming natural feeling. This is an absolutely unavoidable live album that everyone who has seen any show should experience.
