Description
The miraculous first appearance of the ultra-fine in-ear monitors (IEMs) album that recorded the 2020 Japan tour that excited the archipelago. This work includes the “January 28, 2020: Kyocera Dome Osaka” performance. This is the IEMs recording. Speaking of IEMs coming to Japan in 2020, our original “CLOSED SOUNDCHECK: SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2020 DAY 1” has become a hot topic, but this work is (of course) a completely different performance. It’s a super-excellent product that was recently posted on the internet and has become a hot topic of discussion. First, let’s review the schedule for coming to Japan, including the surrounding circumstances.・January 25th: Saitama Super Arena ←※CLOSED SOUNDCHECK ・January 26th: Saitama Super Arena ・January 28th: Kyocera Dome Osaka ←★Here★ ・January 30th: Nagoya Dome A total of 4 performances. Our “CLOSED SOUNDCHECK” is the first day of the Tokyo performance, and is a rehearsal album before the performance. On the other hand, this work completely records the full show of the Osaka performance. It’s shocking just to say that it’s a full show IEMs, but the true value of this work goes beyond that. The core enthusiasts who worked on this work dared to intercept 10 types of IEMs. It has been carefully re-edited to create a perfect and exquisite soundboard album. There may be some people who don’t understand the idea that there are 10 types of IEMs, so I’ll just make generalizations here. In the first place, IEMs recordings are the sounds that members and staff listen to through earphones, and are recorded by intercepting radio waves transmitted wirelessly. The quality is top notch because it is a sound board sound, but the point is that it is not the output sound of the venue, but the sound for work. The sounds required by each member/staff member are different, such as the beginning of a performance, the progression of a show, and the voice of a staff member giving instructions, and each member/staff member has a unique mix that is sent to each person’s earphones. In other words, various types of radio waves are scattered around the venue. Normally, when we talk about “IEMs recording,” we are talking about one type of recording. If there are problems with balance or reception, it is common practice to matrix with audience recording. However, this work has 10 types of IEMs alone. (Although details are not disclosed), the best parts of each are combined, and if necessary, IEMs can be matrixed together. The result is truly amazing. It’s clearly an IEM, as you can hear the piano playing during the “Innuendo” that announces the start of the performance, but it’s glossy and beautiful without the usual reception noise, and the balance is natural. There are no cheers and it is extremely raw, so it is not like an official live album, but the quality itself is comparable to official works. Furthermore, it seems that the conversational voices of the staff are also carefully muted… As mentioned above, it is not uncommon for IEMs to hear the staff’s instructions, but this work neatly connects the parts where there is no instruction voice. There is some dialogue during the introduction of the members and the following part of “Dragon Attack,” but other than that, you can enjoy it like an official live album (though the behind-the-scenes feel of the staff’s voices is also interesting). In any case, the Osaka full show drawn with such official quality sound is hard to replace. Speaking of official, we are also preparing for the release of “LIVE AROUND THE WORLD”, the follow-up to “LIVE IN JAPAN”, which was our first visit to Japan. This is a good opportunity, so let’s compare them and organize them again. 70’s (17 songs) – Scary Princess: Keep Yourself Alive (★★) / Doing All Right (★★) – Queen II: Seven Seas of Rhye (★) – Sheer Heart Attack: Now I’m Here / Killer Queen (★) / In the Lap of the Gods… Revisited (★) / A Night at the Opera: I’m in Love With My Car (★★) / Love of My Life / ’39 (★★) / Bohemian Rhapsody・Splendid Lace: Somebody to Love/Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together) (★)/Tie Your Mother Down (★★)・Dedicated to the World: We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions・Jazz: Don’ t Stop Me Now/Bicycle Race (★★) 80’s/90’s (11 songs) The Game: Another One Bites the Dust/Crazy Little Thing Called Love/Dragon Attack Hot Space: Under Pressure The Works : Hammer to Fall/I Want to Break Free/Radio Ga Ga・Mr. Bad Guy: I Was Born To Love You・Kind of Magic: Who Wants to Live Forever・The Miracle: I Want It All (★ )・Innuendo: The Show Must Go On *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “LIVE AROUND THE WORLD”. Furthermore, the “★★” marks are songs that cannot be heard in the official video of the first visit to Japan, “LIVE IN JAPAN”… and so on. “LIVE AROUND THE WORLD” is an edited version that was compiled from 6 years of shows starting in 2014, so the set is significantly different, and there is a lot of delicious repertoire that cannot be heard even when combined with “LIVE IN JAPAN”. All of that can be enjoyed on the finest sound board. With the huge success of the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”, QUEEN has regained its heyday to the level of the 1980s. And looking back now, it was also a miraculous performance in Japan that was made possible just before the coronavirus pandemic hit. An IEMs album where you can enjoy the full show in super high quality… no, it’s a soundboard album. You can enjoy the best sound that is comparable to the official live version.
