Description

A legendary recording that has long been passed down from the last night in Japan, and by extension, “THE WORKS TOUR” itself. The original master discovered a miracle. The legendary recording recorded the “May 15, 1985: Osaka Castle Hall” performance. Yes, it is an audience recording that records “Japan’s last night” with super-excellent sound. QUEEN’s last Japan tour is so memorable. Therefore, we have archived many masterpieces at our store. First, let’s organize the collection and check the position of this work.・May 8th “BUDOKAN 1985 1ST NIGHT” ・May 9th “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1985 2ND NIGHT” ・May 11th “DEFINITIVE FINAL CONCERT IN TOKYO” & official video ・May 13th “DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 1985” ・5 March 15th “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985” & [This work] *Note: Only representative works are shown each day. That’s all 5 performances. This tour is also included in the official work “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS: FINAL LIVE IN JAPA”, but contrary to the title, it is not the final performance. The Osaka performance of this work was the true final. Such a special show is also known for its super and superb recording. The current highest peak is our “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985”, but separate recordings have been a staple for a long time. That is Kinney’s legendary LP bootleg “QUEEN’S LAST STAND 1985.” Not only was it possible to enjoy all the songs from Japan’s last show, but what was shocking was the quality. The sound quality is ridiculously high (I will omit the details), and the natural sound is overwhelming, completely different from the boring official video. It has transcended Japan and has been loved for many years as a masterpiece among masterpieces that symbolizes “THE WORKS TOUR” all over the world. And what was discovered this time is the original master of that historical masterpiece. This is an original cassette from the famous Kinney! What flowed out from the only master in the world was a complete version of a great masterpiece that no one had ever heard before. Those who are familiar with analog bootlegs may know that the MC and the parts shouting out the venue name were cut out as much as possible in the works back then to avoid identifying the venue. Moreover, this is a large amount. QUEEN’s performance in Japan includes not only the opening name but also plenty of Japanese MCs. The conventional “QUEEN’S LAST STAND 1985” has been completely removed, but this work is a live recording itself before undergoing such editing work. The cut parts are also left intact. However, although many of the MCs are already widely known for “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985”, they are spelled out with the sound of the famous album. And the biggest point of this work is its sound. Of course, it is naturally better than the previous “QUEEN’S LAST STAND 1985”, and the dynamism depicted in detail down to the smallest details is overwhelming. The conventional version is no longer a target for comparison, and the only one that can rival this work is the current highest peak “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985”. The super masterpiece “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985” is a miracle of miracles that is said to be “No. 1 in QUEEN’s all-audience recordings”, so I can’t easily proclaim it as “breaking the pinnacle!”, but in my heart… That’s what I want to say. Anyway, this work is beautiful and irresistible. Certainly, “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985” is extremely on and direct. In that respect, this work may fall short. However, this is due to the value of “how close it is to a sound board”. However, the original aesthetics of audience recording are not like that. It is not (never) a substitute that says, “I can’t help it because I don’t have a sound board,” but the unique sound and sense of reality are the lifeblood. A recording that is so sophisticated that you can feel “beauty” there is the best. And this work may surpass even “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985” in that respect. The crystal clear atmosphere, the vivid details down to the tiniest details, and the subtle beauty of the hall’s sound… In the first place, Kinney pursued the beauty unique to audience recording rather than the close feeling of a sound board, but this work has reached its “extreme”. Of course, the sense of presence and reality is tremendous, but what’s more important is that you can experience your last night with such “beautiful sound”… “Japan’s last show” was so memorial and so deeply loved. It will be familiar to those who keep an eye on this work, and it would be pointless to analyze the set now. I just want you to enjoy the seamless recording itself, the sound that crystallizes Kinney’s aesthetics. The piano improvisation that embodies the passages of “My Fairly King” and “March Of Black Queen” that symbolize this show, as well as Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting”, will cause new excitement. This work combines “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1985”, which is said to be “QUEEN’s No. 1 guest record”, and the “aesthetics of audience recording”. Two such works happened to be born from “Japan’s Last Night.” A new excavation that leaves you in awe of its miracles.
