Description

A masterpiece live album of the valuable “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR” North American leg. Introducing the highest peak master recognized by enthusiasts. This work includes “February 4, 1977 College Park Performance”. This is a masterpiece audience recording. First, as usual, let’s start with the show position. 1977 is also the time when two world tours overlap, so let’s organize them all together. ●1977 “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR”・January 13th – March 18th: North America #1 (40 performances) ←★Coco★・May 8th – June 7th: Europe #1 (19 performances) )《“NEWS OF THE WORLD” released on October 28th》 “NEWS OF THE WORLD TOUR”・November 11th – December 22nd: North America #2 (26 performances) ●1978・April 12th – May 13th: Europe #2 (20 performances) This is an overview of 1977. This work is the 16th performance of “North America #1” in the early days of “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR”. The other day, we introduced the valuable stereo sound board album “RICHFIELD 1977” from the same “North America #1”, but the College Park performance of this work was a concert two weeks later. This work, which records such a show, is truly powerful and robust. Like the other day’s “RICHFIELD 1977”, it is a master released by overseas core enthusiast “Lucifer Burns”, and it is an audience recording that also sucked in raw applause, but the performance sound that penetrates it is extremely on. You can’t feel the distance at all, the powerful rock is approaching, and you can feel QUEEN right in front of you. The heavy bass, which tends to be a weak point in the audience, also has a solid response. Sometimes, there are studio live performances with extremely close applause on TV broadcasts, etc., and it is similar to that. In fact, although it is a slightly lumpy recording, the details are sharp, so you can feel the performance of the four people clearly, and even the lumpiness feels like a powerful production. That sound suits this show exquisitely. For the British band, the tour begins with the United States, which should be conquered, and the ensemble gets better at each performance, and the excitement increases. This work is the 16th performance, and you can enjoy the engine being warmed up and running at full power. In addition, this “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR” included more and more classic songs such as “Somebody to Love,” and “Brighton Rock” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” also began to be played in full. Freddie has also entered the full stage from the growth period, and the set and performance are truly colorful. It’s not just youthful, it’s starting to look dignified. It is a live album where the momentum of the early part of the tour bursts out of the speakers. “’39” is where such momentum overflows and overflows. Freddie forgets the lyrics, and Roger’s chorus and guitar don’t match and the song falls apart. Of course, that was quickly recovered. It is a show that makes you feel the experience of the band as it rebuilds with such naturalness that the audience does not even notice. Like the other day’s “RICHFIELD 1977”, it is extremely unfortunate that “In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited” and later were omitted from recording, but this work is a great recording that is as on and powerful as the sound board. This is a masterpiece live album where you can experience the fresh “A DAY AT THE RACES TOUR” with that sound.
