Queen/Live Magic Expanded Collector’s Edition

As part of Queen’s ultimate album thorough research series “Expanded Collector’s Edition”, the live album “LIVE MAGIC” is now available as the latest collector’s edition “ANOTHER LIVE MAIGIC” which expands on the original content! This is an original album that includes highlights from historic live performances such as Freddie Mercury’s last live performance at Knebworth in 1986 and his performance in Budapest, Hungary during the Cold War, although the performance in Budapest, Hungary was later officially released separately. The video was edited and was incomplete with several songs not included. The CD includes the original sound source recorded for broadcast at the time. Currently, there is a remastered CD containing all the songs, but here the original sound source before the remastering is included. You can hear the difference by listening to this as an alternate mix where Freddie’s vocals and instruments can be clearly separated. The second half includes the complete live album “LIVE MAGIC” with original UK analog sound sources. This is also an original sound source that has not been remastered, and the point is that it is recorded in a partially edited version due to the recording time at the time. DVD 1 includes a complete version of all songs from the Budapest, Hungary performance. The video work was edited with a documentary in between, and several songs were not recorded, but the video parts were reproduced with unedited film footage. Currently, the original film is said to have been destroyed, and at present we only have film footage with degraded quality, but we have patched together the precious fragments to create a complete version of all songs. It is a complete version that includes all songs from the concert without the documentary, so you can see which parts were edited. DVD2 includes the original video version released in 1988. In the 2012 remaster, it was edited into a wide screen, but here you can see the uncut original footage of the 4:3 standard at the time, with the top and bottom of the screen not cropped. In addition, the sound source is the original stereo before remastering, and collectors cannot miss the video version, which is now difficult to obtain. Furthermore, as extra footage, existing related footage is compiled, including local TV news at the time and documentaries that were cut in the complete version.
