The official work “LIVE MAGIC” was the masterpiece of the century. A live album that can be called the complete version is now available. [“LIVE MAGIC”, a controversial work of the century created by the times] In the history of QUEEN… no, in the history of rock, there may not have been a live album as controversial as “LIVE MAGIC.” This is the official live album of the “MAGIC TOUR” in which QUEEN, who made a comeback with LIVE AID, performed their masterpiece “A KIND OF MAGIC”. Originally, it should have received rave reviews all over the world, but it is a strange live album that was put together with excessive editing, perhaps in order to squeeze it into a single LP. The opera part was removed from “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and “Tie Your Mother Down” is full of 2nd verse and chorus. “Is This the World We Created…?”, “I Want to Break Free”, “We Will Rock You”, and “We Are the Champion” are all shortened so intensely that you wonder if they were “edited for singles?” It was included in the version. His dynamic style is (naturally) highly unpopular with fans. It’s not just about QUEEN’s dark history, it was also selected by the music magazine “Q” in their home country of England as one of the “5 Most Disappointing Albums from a Great Band.” It has been recognized as one of the worst songs in rock history. That said, if the live performance itself had been bad, it wouldn’t have been so problematic. The parts included were so wonderful. In particular, the main thing is QUEEN’s final performance, that “August 9, 1986 Knebworth performance”. While I was playing the multiplayer for that most important concert…my feelings were so strong that it caused disappointment all over the world. Of course, it is currently out of print, and even now that the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” is causing a sensation, there is no hope that it will be reissued. [An album that embodies the “LIVE MAGIC” that should be] This is a live album that instantly relieves those 33 years of frustration. Produced by overseas core enthusiasts, it is complemented by making full use of existing same-day recordings. It is a live album that embodies the “original LIVE MAGIC”. This master was not published on the internet and was a “secret pleasure among core enthusiasts” known only to those in the know. This was provided to us for this work. The editing is overwhelming. Originally, “LIVE MAGIC” was composed of a total of three live performances, each using the highest existing master. Although an official soundboard is also used, audience recording is also used for live performances where there is no full soundboard, such as the Knebworth performance. Moreover, the super-excellent audience recording (a legendary master by Mr. Crazy S. who was said to be among the top five in all QUEEN AUDs) that was also used in that famous album “KNEBWORTH 1986” is used. We carefully compare each full recording and “LIVE MAGIC”, find gaps and compensate for them. The first thing that is surprising is the sheer number of them. Of course, the songs mentioned above are missing, but if you look at Core Mania’s production notes (please see the track list below), there are other things as well. Only “Under Pressure”, “Hammer To Fall” and “God Save The Queen” were completely recorded. “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which was a flashy cut, tended to get a lot of attention, but almost all of the songs were cut. What was even more surprising was that even the pitch was crazy. And it’s in pieces. The tape speed of the part corresponding to the analog A side (from One Vision to Day-O) was increased, and it was stuck on one side of the analog. No matter how much I wanted to release it as a single piece, I don’t know if I’ll go this far… Once again, I am amazed at the splendor of the official editing. [Intense board where the mania itself is entertainment] Of course, this work returns such cuts and pitches to the actual scene, but the finish is overwhelmingly beautiful. Mastering not only the soundboards but also the connection with the audience recording minimizes discomfort and transitions beautifully. It seems that he was particular about inserting the entire song “Tear It Up” between “Seven Seas Of Rhye” and “A Kind Of Magic,” which he couldn’t get rid of. Of course, the concept is “original LIVE MAGIC”, so it does not reproduce a single show, but it is a wonderfully seamless single live album. It’s fun to edit all of the songs and songs, but the most powerful song is “Day-O”. It was recorded in the official “LIVE MAGIC” for about 1 minute, but it was recorded for 1 minute and 40 seconds at the scene. Moreover, it is divided into 5 parts, and of “14 seconds, 17 seconds, 28 seconds, 10 seconds, and 4 seconds”, the second and fourth were officially recorded. This work takes advantage of all of that and connects the remaining three locations with the audience. Every single word from Freddie and the audience is analyzed and meticulously made into a complete form. Of course, it is easier and natural to replace the whole thing with audience recording, but this mania was only particular about “perfecting the official work”. I’m either impressed or appalled by this analysis and finish. I want to say to the official side, “Do you want to cut this much?”, and I want to say to the maniacs who created it, “Do you want to find this much?” Just coming up with the idea of “a complete version of LIVE MAGIC” is something to applaud, but it shows the playfulness of the maniacs who make it happen. And it’s interesting because you understand that feeling. Depth itself is now a form of entertainment. “The original LIVE MAGIC” is about 14 minutes longer than the official version. This is a super entertaining album that will erase the regrets you felt 33 years ago and instantly make your thoughts of “this is what I wanted to hear” come true. Of course, it goes without saying that QUEEN’s show itself is wonderful, but this is a record that makes you smile and be moved by the deep mania that made it possible. I fixed it because it was fast (★★ important. No one should have known about it → to force it into the record 25 minute time frame). (63:17) ★14 minutes longer than the official version 01.
