Description

In 1982, QUEEN held their first outdoor stadium performance in Japan. The former master of the legendary recording that conveys the scene is a miraculous new excavation. This work records the “October 24, 1982: Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium” performance. This is the best audience recording. Speaking of coming to Japan in 1982, the official video “LIVE IN JAPAN” is also memorable, but this work is a different concert. In order to understand the positional relationship, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time.・October 19: Fukuoka City Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium ・October 20: Fukuoka City Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium ・October 24: Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium ←★This work★ ・October 26: Nagoya City International Exhibition Center DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 1982” ・October 29: Hokkaido Industrial Exhibition Venue ・November 3: Seibu Stadium “DEFINITIVE SEIBU STADIUM 1982” & official video *Note: Only representative works are shown on each day. [Newly discovered complete version of world-renowned legendary recording] This was a performance in Japan that was realized in 1982. The official “LIVE IN JAPAN” was filmed at Seibu Stadium on the final day, but this work was held in Hyogo, which can be said to be the western Japan version. This show has been known for recording since the analog era, and has been loved as a masterpiece of “HOT SPACE TOUR 1982”. Moreover, the recording is not “the best of this day” or “the best of the Japanese performance”. It was a masterpiece among masterpieces and is considered “one of the best” worldwide. That masterpiece is the great analog 2-disc set “GET DOWN (140rc),” and this work is its original master. It is a complete version that includes “We Will Rock You”, which was thought to have been lost for many years! The legendary edition “GET DOWN” has been a symbol since ancient times, and since then it has become a classic among the classics, with many reprint CD editions. “STADIUM ROCK”, which was supplemented with a separate recording, was very well received at our store. Since it is the original master/complete version, I think those who have experienced the previous releases have already made up their minds, but for those who haven’t, the quality of this work is of the highest quality with a “super” rating. audience. The most amazing thing is the extremely strong and thick core. There’s no sense of distance, it’s powerful, and it doesn’t tremble. Since it is an outdoor venue, there is no sound echo at all, and the soundboard sound emitted by the on-site PA is directly picked up. Of course, there are risks in the outdoors, and being far away from the PA or being blown away by the wind will ruin your experience. In fact, on this day, a typhoon was approaching and the wind was strong, and there are some recordings that were affected by that. However, in this recording, even the existence of such a wind is not felt at all. Although the proof of audience recording is engraved in the vividness of the hand clapping and the breadth of the large chorus, both the performance sound and Freddie’s singing voice are incredibly clear, as if they were on a “sound board”. [A finish that pursues perfection as a musical work] A former master of such a legendary recording. . . The impact is still traveling around the world at this very moment, and this work further refines the original sound of the Internet. We have also achieved the longest and highest peak that we can currently hope for. First, “longest”. This new excavation master is the first complete version, but it is a “complete version of the recording”. Of course, all the performance parts are recorded, and there is no lack of call and response with Freddie. However, tape changes were unavoidable in the cassette era, and there were cuts before the performance and between songs. In this work, such parts are supplemented as much as possible with other sound sources. It is the longest live album ever. And the quality has also improved. Of course, the original sound is the former master of the legendary recording, so the freshness is outstanding. Although there were no complaints in terms of sound quality, there was room for improvement in terms of completeness. Various minor adjustments have been made, but the biggest one is the pitch. The original sound on the internet was being released inaccurately and at a low level, and what’s more, it wasn’t constant and was changing randomly. In this work, such pitch has been thoroughly corrected, and the sound pressure, which was a bit blurry in the beginning (about 4 songs), has also been adjusted evenly. We did not touch on the beautiful, natural sound at all, and only pursued the perfection of the musical piece. [A great performance that cannot be compared to the official video] What is depicted with such sound is a full show that easily surpasses even the official work “LIVE IN JAPAN”. First of all, the number of songs is different. In the first place, I’m reluctant to compare it with the excerpt “LIVE IN JAPAN”, but this is a good opportunity, so let’s sort it out. 70’s (11 songs)・Sheer Heart Attack: Now I’m Here・A Night at the Opera: Love Of My Life/Bohemian Rhapsody・Splendid Lace: Somebody To Love (★)/Tie Your Mother Down・Dedicated to the World: We Will Rock You (fast) (★) / Get Down, Make Love (★) / Spread Your Wings (★) / We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions・Jazz: Fat Bottomed Girls (★) 80s (9 songs) )・The Game: Dragon Attack/Save Me/Crazy Little Thing Called Love/Another One Bites The Dust (★)・Hot Space: Action This Day (★)/Calling All Girls (★)/Put Out The Fire/Body Language (★) / Under Pressure Others: Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting) (★) / Jailhouse Rock (★) / Rock ‘n’ Roll Medley (★) *Note: “★” marks are official videos “LIVE IN JAPAN” But it’s a song I can’t watch. …and it looks like this. There are so many “★” marks that I can’t point them out one by one. Among them, the new songs from “Hot Space” are noteworthy. “Action This Day” has a colorful synth sound, “Calling All Girls” has a light melody, “Body Language” brings back shocking memories, and “Put Out The Fire” was played only a few times… There are plenty of extremely rare songs that you won’t be able to hear on subsequent tours or projects. In addition, before the medley of “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting) / Bohemian Rhapsody”, a slightly unusual song “Spread Your Wings” pops out, in which Freddie shouts “I forgot the chord!” Night’s Alrifgt For Fighting”. Furthermore, the medley that connects “Another One Bites The Dust” to “Jailhouse Rock” is extremely rare. What is better than such a set is a great performance that cannot be compared to “LIVE IN JAPAN”. Speaking of “HOT SPACE TOUR”, it is famous for the series of miraculous performances during the European tour, but by the time they reached Japan, tour fatigue was at its peak. It is obvious if you compare “QUEEN ON FIRE” and “LIVE IN JAPAN”. However, the tension at this Nishinomiya performance was unmistakably high, with the ladies chanting “Hello, osaka! How do you like it? Is Everybody OK tonight? Yeah, yeah! yeah!!” from the beginning. You can hear the tension that comes close to the miraculous European tour. A legendary recording that has continued to convey a masterpiece that is on a different level from the boring official video. This is the complete version of the miracle by the former master. A supreme live album that refines memorable new discoveries. (Remastered Memo) The original sound is quite slow and randomly distorted throughout, and Body Language / Under Pressure / Fat Bottomed Girls are especially bad → All have been corrected. Fat Bottomed Girls had severe tape shaking, but it has been corrected. Equalize the sound pressure of the first four songs as much as possible. Use the previously released “STADIUM ROCK” to make up for the missing parts. Live at Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium, Nishinomiya, Japan 24th October 1982 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(UPGRADE) Disc 1 (65:52) 1.
