Description
The European leg of “HOT SPACE TOUR 1982” where Freddie was in top form and gave a series of great performances. The new treasure album is now available. This work was recorded at “Munich performance on May 21, 1982”. This is an audience recording that captured the show held on the day of the release of “HOT SPACE”. The other day, the 4-disc set “COMPLETE EDINBURGH 1982)” was very popular, and the masterpiece “DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 1982” from the Japanese performance was released at the same time. Let’s check the show’s position from the overall picture of such “HOT SPACE TOUR”. [“HOT SPACE” completed in March]・April 9th – May 22nd: Europe (26 performances)←★Here★《“HOT SPACE” released on May 21st》・May 29th – June 5th : UK (4 performances) ・July 21st – September 15th: North America (33 performances) ・October 19th – November 3rd: Japan (6 performances) This is the whole picture of the world tour. The tour started before the release of “HOT SPACE”, and a new album was released to coincide with the last tour of continental Europe. I was scheduled to return to my home country of England with this topic in mind. This work is the 25th performance of such “Europe”. The Munich performance was a two-day continuous performance, and this was the first concert. Records of such shows have been known for a long time, but unfortunately the sound is too harsh to listen to. It was a type that was prized only among the core enthusiasts. In fact, this work is also a treasured recording, but it is not exactly the same. It is a direct digitization of the 1st Gene Master that was discovered in recent years. In fact, the sound has become incredible. The previous master was fluffy, and Freddie’s voice sounded like he was singing while brushing his teeth. However, this work has a clear core and is so vivid that you can clearly understand the lyrics. As expected, the recording itself is the same, so I can’t claim it to be “just like a soundboard,” but the bass, which tends to be the weak point of the audience, is solid, and as long as you’re used to recording, you don’t need to be a fanatic. It has been reborn as a sound that you can fully immerse yourself in. And, because it is a wonderful vintage sound, the splendor of the show can be felt with a sense of touch. I was surprised from the beginning. Speaking of “HOT SPACE TOUR”, “QUEEN ON FIRE” is familiar. Just like that masterpiece, the show opens with “The Hero” and then moves on to the fast “We Will Rock You”… and then, “Sheer Heart Attack” pops out! A short arrangement blows things away, and it descends into “Action This Day.” This flow is so cool and perfect for the opening mood. Actually, it is the flow that was done at the previous Kassel performance, but only these two performances have been confirmed. On the “UK” tour, it was returned to “We Will Rock You” again. In fact, it is precisely because of this extremely rare arrangement/direction that enthusiasts have loved this recording, even with its fluffy sound. Now you can listen to it with great sound. Of course, the beginning is not the end. The excellent show that continues after that is wonderful. On a normal tour, you would be getting tired at the end of the leg, but this is not the case with this work. The European edition of the “HOT SPACE TOUR” was a series of great performances and passionate performances, but even here Freddie was flying all over and was excited. It makes me wonder why Freddie was so energetic back then. A treasured recording that has been upgraded beyond recognition by the 1st Gene Master. Again, the recording itself will not change completely, and the audience will need to get used to it. However, this work is more than worth getting used to. This is a valuable record where you can not only experience one more famous performance from the European tour, which was at its best, but also enjoy the rare “The Hero → Sheer Heart Attack → Action This Day.” Live at Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany 21st May 1982 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(1st gen) Disc 1 (34:54) 1.
