Description
In 1985, Queen toured Australia for the first time in nine years since 1976. The stage on April 19th, the third day of the four-day Melbourne performance, is recorded with the highest level of high-quality audience recording. It was released in the past under the title “MELBOURNE 1985” and was a standard sound source for fans, but in February 2007 an upper version was released under the same title “MELBOURNE 1985″. A specialized magazine also gave it high praise, saying, “The sound quality has clearly improved, and it is clear that masters from a younger generation are being used.” This edition includes a remastered version of “MELBOURNE 1985,” which boasts the highest sound quality ever. Furthermore, the only drawback of this sound source, Is This The World We Created?, is a tape change cut of about 30 seconds from 2:28 in the middle of the same Australian tour, taken from the Sydney performance on April 26th (excluding Melbourne).・The only high-quality sound source from the tour), this is a 2-disc set that is uncut and a must-have for fans. In this remaster, the pitch was about 1/4 of a semitone faster, so we fixed it. The left channel had a tendency to drop high, and was generally too far to the right, so I corrected it, and the bass was a little thin, so I equalized it, creating a more hybrid record with the highest sound quality of the tour. It seems that the image of the KF version “MELBOURNE 1985” is still strong, but please listen to this 1985 Melbourne performance that seems to have been reborn. There is no doubt that you will be surprised, “Is this such an amazing recording?” Also, because of such a high-quality sound source, I can’t help but feel disappointed at the cut parts when listening to Is This The World We Created? (because it is a moving song), but it is uncut, although it uses a take from another performance in the near future. I think it can be said that fans are happy that they can now listen to it. In Under Pressure, Freddie sings one chorus too early and seems to be fooling it with ad-libs, but the show itself was very good, and the sound may have been good, but the performance itself was very good. I can hear it. Anyway, I think fans will be surprised again that this Melbourne performance is such a good recording and performance. Love Of My Life, in which Freddie passionately sings the entire song, which is rare at this time of year, is a must-listen take.
