On September 10, 1990, the final day of the Nude Tour’s Japan performance at Yokohama Stadium, a CD of the audience recording at that time and a video of another audience recording that can be called a miracle are now available as a direct DVD! Since it’s also the last day of the Nude Tour, there are a lot of things going on that are different from normal live shows, which is very interesting. At the beginning, The Future, there is a bonus version of The Flow by Tony M and Rosie Gaines. Also, in Take Me With U, the song starts with the MC saying, “I have to leave Japan tomorrow, but I want to go home, so let’s take you all to my place too.” From the piano solos of Venus De Milo and Under The Cherry Moon to the band sound of Raspbery Beret, and from the jazzy intro to The Question Of U, the development is highly complete. . The hyper version that includes the cutting of When Doves Cry is a masterpiece performance that also features Rosie’s Do Me Baby chorus and freaky Prince’s piano. Batdance and Partyman, which are no longer played or have had their arrangements changed, will be presented with perfectly completed performances that are unique to this tour. And as expected, the last encore Baby I’m A Star jam is especially noteworthy. You can clearly tell that the performance is filled with spirit. Young Michael B’s drumming is also wonderful. The jam continues from Respect, which has a long playing time and is mainly sung by Rosie. After Tony M and others rap, Prince plays the piano solemnly, and then the music begins! Gyoee Theives In The Temple! The transition from the piano version to the band version gives me goosebumps! This song was rarely played on the Nude Tour, and it has such a proper development and also includes Prince’s rap, which I have never heard before, so this performance is definitely the best of Theives In The Temple. That’s it! This one song alone is sure to move you to tears. And although there are some cuts from this live performance, it is almost completely recorded. The image quality is rough because it is an audience video from that time, but it becomes stable as the performance progresses. Housequake, where Prince and the Game Boys dance in the center of the stage, and Kiss’s performance, the camera can properly follow Prince. Purple Rain has a cut in the middle, but it still remains stable, and It Takes Two shows a scene where Prince instructs the Game Boys dancers to dance and makes them dance. I especially enjoy Kirky J’s fish-bouncing dance. The Question Of U is also a fulfilling performance, and Prince’s split dance during Electric Man is also captured wonderfully. In When Doves Cry, Prince and the Game Boys dance pretty vigorously, including the group dance, in Batdance. This is Partyman’s performance, which includes a skit, and it’s wonderful to see him dancing in Prince’s purple suit. The last jam also captures the band, dancers, and Prince quite well, making it a real pleasure. Of course, you can’t tell just from the sound that Prince was moving this much. And it is a miracle that the moving figure of Theives In The Temple, an extremely rare performance, has been captured. It feels like Rosie Gaines is half-improvised, and Prince’s piano is also freaky, giving it an after-show excitement! And with Prince also involved, The Flow became a more serious play! Dance on the piano! Even if it’s not clear, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the value of this video recording.
