Prince/Rehearsal Jams Vol.3

This is the third release of the popular Purple Rehearsal Jams series. This compilation focuses on Prince’s guitar, and although it covers a wide range of years from 1985 to 2014, the sound quality is consistent, which is a testament to the editing skills of the artists. What’s even more shocking is that it includes previously unleaked recordings. This is the rehearsal of the first song, “Crystall Ball,” which lasts for over 10 minutes. It includes different developments and phrases from the studio version, and it is clear that they were trying to make it into a live version. The original source of “The Max” from 2013 is unknown, and it includes an arrangement that has not been shown live, so it is very cool and likely to be the first time it has been released. Also, there was a sound cut at around the 4-minute mark in “Temptation #2,” but it has been remastered as much as possible.
