Prince’s big hit song 1999, the year has finally arrived! Prince has released a live sound source to commemorate the occasion! Recorded on January 2, 1999 with the best audience recording in the studio with the most realistic sound! First, it starts with Push It Up with Doug E. Fresh, followed by an irregular opening that becomes Jam Of The Year, a fast-paced development that includes Carwash’s improvisation, the overwhelming Purple Rain, and a proper band performance. Little Red Corvette with a great guitar solo, I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man with a great guitar solo, Rosie Gaines’ cover of Bob Marley Redemption Song and Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way, and a wonderful Nothing Compares 2 with Prince and Rosie singing. U. It’s been very thrilling so far. And the highlight is Come On, followed by a jam that lasts 10 minutes with phrases from 1999 The New Master including Doug and Rosie Gaines. Then, Gett Off ends with a funky release of Larry Graham, Rosie, and Prince’s Release Yourself. Prince is also amazing, but here Rosie Gaines shows off her wonderful throat everywhere. And Disc 2 has a slight sound breakage at The Time’s live performance on January 1st, Get It Up and 777-9311, but other than that it is a wonderful audience recording with a very realistic feeling. Maurice and Jerome are having a great time, probably because Prince is watching. And Priss actually appears and plays guitar on Jungle Love, and even Terry Lewis joins in and plays bass.
