Description

The after-show at Trump’s Nightclub after the New York MSG performance of the 1998 New Power Soul Festival Tour, where Prince sealed his name and led the New Power Generation as “The Artist”, is recorded in the longest version from the best soundboard master. Recorded from the opening jam, which has not been recorded until now, it is led by Larry Graham, followed by Sly & Family Stone and Graham Central Station’s deadly funk medley, followed by Doug E. Fresh, a pioneer of human beatboxing in old school hip hop. After an incandescent rap that also includes “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” and “Ue o Muite Arukou”, Chaka Khan shows off his spectacular vocals, a truly premium one-night performance that lasts for 90 minutes. In addition, the after-show in San Francisco, which took place after New York, is also recorded from the best soundboard master. This day also featured Larry Graham and Rosie Gaines as guests at the club gig, and the precious jam sessions, both of which were different from the main performances on the tour, are noteworthy. The last one also includes a live performance including a JB cover released at the NPG Club.
