Description
Since the beginning of 2021, Prince’s outtakes have begun to appear, and a sequel to the well-received title Neurotic Graffiti has already appeared. The first song is shocking. Jesse Johnson’s second album is called Shockadelica, but the title song was not included on that album. I heard that Prince listened to the album before it was released, wrote the title song on his own and sent it to Jesse for recording. Now the original version of that cassette tape has come out. It is longer than the 12 inch version. A part where he plays the guitar while laughing is added at the end of the 4th minute. The second song, Rebirth Of The Flesh, became a hot topic as it was a solo long version with a different outro that was recorded in the Super Deluxe version of Sign of the Times. Like the version included in Crystal Ball, it has been edited to connect to Play In The Sunshine, etc., but it is about 10 seconds longer than that version. There are parts where the tempo is a little slow and the instrumental part is long in the middle. And Just As Long As We’re Together, a 1977 demo that Prince gave to CBS and then Warner to show that he could play all the instruments and produce all by himself. There are three existing versions, but the demo version with Prince’s count at the beginning is the longest. However, the version recorded here is Edit #1, but the sound has been remastered and improved. The fourth song is one of several songs co-written with Prince in the late 1970s by female singer Valerie Carter, who was produced by Maurice White and others. And Hard To Get provided to The Rebels, a slightly longer version than the existing version, and the 1981 version is currently the longest 2 minute version. The 7th song is Old Friends 4 Sale, and there were 3 existing versions. #1 of these is included in this recording, and there is a long whistling sound for the last few seconds, and there is also a sound that sounds a bit like the sound of a clock’s hands. And Girls & Boys is an existing alternate take with Wendy’s narration at the beginning, but the following Life Can Be So Nice is a different version that I have never heard before, and it ends like the album version, but there is no reprise. As a result, the connection between these two songs can be enjoyed in a much different flow than the album Parade. The 10th song is “Madhouse,” a completely unreleased song that was probably recorded at Paisley Park in 1988. This is a jazz instrumental that has never appeared in any literature. You can hear Prince’s voice and it has the feel of a band rehearsing, but there are no horns such as Eric Ries, who must be present in Madhouse. Instead, the keyboard is largely featured by Prince or Dr. Fink. The bass also sounds impressive. The 11th song is also shocking. This is a completely different take on Fantasia Erotica. There are conversations between Carmen Electra and Prince at the beginning and end. The main part consists of guitar cutting and a funky arranged almost instrumental sound that develops coolly. The 12th song is Move Me, which was made at Paisley Park on February 6, 1990. This is the complete first appearance. The song is sung by Prince on the piano, but he actually co-wrote it while jamming with his band members, and the co-writer is said to be David Z. It is also said that this piano is Levi Schiesser. Therefore, he will also be a co-author. The 13th song is 9:23 from the My Name Is Prince acetate, and is thought to be an original mix of which only an edited version existed. The 14th song is Shy’s remix and alternate take. The 15th song is an unreleased instrumental song made in July or August 2015, and is a version with horns and strings added. This is the first time that this version has both of these added at the same time. The 16th song, Dear Michaelandgelo, is different from the Prince version that includes a saxophone included in the originals, but is a Prince version without a saxophone, the sound is two ranks better than the existing one, and it is several seconds longer. This is a bonus version sung by Prince and Sheila from Noon Rendezvous. It was created by cleverly editing Prince’s version of The Originals and Sheila’s original version. The song is not a duet in which the two sing in unison, but of course they don’t harmonize with each other, but the result is a heartwarming version that gives the impression that the two are singing along harmoniously. 1.Shockadelica (Original Version) 2.Rebirth Of The Flesh 3.Just As Long As We’re Together #1 (Remastered) 4.I Got Over It (Valerie Carter Version) 5.Hard To Get 6.Hard To Get ( 1981 Version) 7.Old Friends 4 Sale #1 8.Girls & Boys (Alternate Version) 9.Life Can Be So Nice (Full Version) 10.Madhouse 11.Fantasia Erotica (Alternate Version) 12.Move Me 13.My Name Is Prince (Original Mix) 14.Shy (Remix) 15.Rumeta (Strings + Horns) 16.Dear Michaelangelo (Prince Version w/o Sax) Bonus: 17.Noon Rendezvous (Prince & Sheila E Duet Version)
