From Prince’s remix and remaster expanded series, this is a soundboard live recording from the 2018 remix and remaster of “Controversy” and the same tour. First of all, “Controversy” was released in 1981 as Prince’s fourth studio album, which was followed by “1999” and “Purple Rain”, and is the beginning of the raging advance that would reach its peak. This expanded album includes outtakes and 12-inch versions of the album tracks. The content is more substantial than the original, and has been endorsed by Prince collectors around the world. The sound quality and innovative construction are a continuation of the original album. In addition, disc 2 contains live recordings from the same tour held from 1981 to the following year, mainly from the Saginaw, Michigan performance in February 1982, recorded with a full stereo soundboard.
