The Pretty Reckless, led by Taylor Momsen, a 21-year-old American celebrity/model/actress who played the lead role of Cindy in the hit movie “The Grinch” (2000) and the main character Jenny Humphrey in the popular TV drama series “Gossip Girl,” are popular here in Japan. This is the latest promo collection from this very cool band, led by an idol, who is not pop, but has a heavy, dark sound influenced by Kurt Cobain, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, and others. It includes songs such as “Take me Down,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, and “Messed Up World (F’d Up World),” which reached No. 1 on the US Rock Radio chart.
