Just before the release of the masterpiece “Fallen Angel”, the second day of the three consecutive gigs in Glasgow was recorded in stereo audience recording! The live performance held at Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow on December 18, 1987 was recorded completely in good stereo audience recording! The first day’s sound source was the same label’s already released “BARROWLANDS 1987 -2021 BRUSH UP EDITION-“, and only six songs from the final day’s sound source were recorded in the 5-disc box “Just Look Them In The Eye And Say… POGUE MAHONE!!” released in 2008, but this work is a digital transfer from the low gene master of the live performance on the second day that has not been heard until now, and the pitch deviation caused by the master has been corrected and remastered. It seems to have been recorded far from the stage, and it’s a shame that the cheers and singalongs of the audience are loud and it’s hard to hear the performance in some places, but it’s recorded in wide-range stereo, and you can enjoy the texture as if you’re listening to it while surrounded by an excited audience at the back of the venue. This live performance was held about one month before the release of their 3rd album “Fallen Angel”, which became a huge hit and their masterpiece, and it was a live performance at the peak of their momentum, focusing on 10 songs from the album! Guest Joe Strummer was invited to perform “I Fought The Law” and “London Calling”, and Kirsty MacColl’s collaboration single “New York Dream”, which was released earlier, also appeared on Christmas’ classic song, Kirsty, and played it at the end of the encore!
