Description

Live performance of “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast”, which lasts about 30 minutes and remains in rock history. The miraculous recording that allows you to experience the legendary scene has been significantly upgraded. [A great evolution of the famous recording that has handed down the legendary night] “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast” was the final song of the masterpiece “Atom Heart Mother” that showed the world the path of progressive rock, and was the embodiment of the experimental spirit. . Although it was a musique concrète piece that was not compatible with rock concerts, it was actually performed on stage. It used to be said that it was only done once, but current research shows that 4 of the 6 performances of the UK mini tour held at the end of 1970 (December 18th in Birmingham / 20th in Bristol / 21st in Manchester / 22nd) Demonstrated in Japan (Sheffield). And, on the final day, “Sheffield performance on December 22, 1970,” a clear recording of the audience was left, and the historical performance has been handed down to the present day. This work is also a legendary recording. However, it is a new excavation 1st gene master that is completely different from the conventional one. The show itself is legendary, but this recording itself was also legendary. Known as a famous recording since the analog era, each song is included on a bootleg LP. After that, even in the CD era, masterpieces such as “A PSYCHEDELIC NIGHT Part 1/2”, “ALAN’S PSYCHEDELIC MASTER TAPE” and “RISE & SHINE” were born every time they were upgraded. A few years ago, Lowe Genemaster’s definitive album “SHEFFIELD 1970” was very popular at our store. This work is also a new page in the history of upgrades, which is the fate of definitive sound sources, but the degree of upgrade this time is a bit amazing. First of all, it’s long. Previously, the master was destined to lack “Eugene, be careful of the axe”, but this work also includes an intro (about 1 minute) including the MC introducing the song. You can enjoy it without any damage (although some parts of the other “Sun Hymn” are still missing). The length of about 1 minute is just proof of the new master. What is even bigger than that is the sound quality that runs through the entire story. What has a particularly strong impact is the hiss noise, which is far less than the previous version. Previously, you had to find the sound of the performance while it was ringing from beginning to end, and as you immersed yourself in it, the noise became less noticeable, but with this work, you don’t notice the hiss from the beginning. Strictly speaking, there is some hiss in this work, but compared to the conventional version, it is almost absent. Moreover, the main point of this work is “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast,” so this is a big deal. The sounds of frying bacon and eggs or pouring coffee paint a picture of the world, and the audience’s reactions to the performances and tweets on stage are also important. Even when playing musical instruments, most of the music is gentle, so the effect of each sound emerging from the “silence” is tremendous. And the performance sound itself that emerges has been significantly upgraded. With the dubbing marks (almost) gone, the outline stands out vividly, and the sound is overwhelmingly natural. You can feel the presence of the instrument itself, and even the flow of a single note rising, forming a mountain, and returning to silence is three-dimensional. Thanks to its vividness, you can even feel a sense of space (despite the monaural audio). For example, even if you use a surround effect where the sound jumps left and right, you can’t tell from the right to the left, but you can clearly feel the movement. [A legendary night in rock history, not just Alan] The legendary night depicted with such deep sound is indescribable. The unparalleled expressive power of “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast”, which opens the show, can only be experienced for yourself, but the regular style stage that follows from there is also wonderful. “Embryo” and “Fat and Tottering Sun” are performances that are at the height of maturity, and the complete version of “Eugene, Be Careful with the Ax” is also terrifying. Next to “Aran”, the “mysterious” trouble symbolizes the legendary night. They play a magnificent 25-minute performance, but at the 18-minute mark, when the song gets excited, the power suddenly goes out and there’s only the live sound of the drums. The part where the show is interrupted is also recorded intermittently for about 2 minutes, but the mood at that time is very real. The audience seemed to think it was an intentional performance, but the audience applauded normally, and there was a lot of laughter at the venue, which has not yet reopened. It’s natural to see a professionally staged show, and it’s easy to tell when a well-planned production breaks down…The feeling of 1970 is completely different from today’s times. You can vividly experience the scent of the days when rock was about not knowing what was going to happen. The last song that concludes this legend, the super-sized song “Atomic Shinbo”. John Aldiss, who was also a key player on the album, served as the conductor, and the brass and chorus also participated. Speaking of the splendor of that magnificent and progressive performance! Even with a large ensemble, which is the exact opposite of “Aran,” the contours of the performance sound are extremely beautiful, and even when the melodies and beats overlap, they don’t mix. No, because it is a large household, the power of the intensely active core with no sense of distance is amazing, and it is an amazing sound that will make you fall in love with the clear details down to the subtlest. Up until now, I had needed a good recording that was “for 1970,” and I had explained to myself, “Because I can listen to the legendary Alan.” However, this 1st Gene Master is sure to be called a “masterpiece” even if it is a modern recording. It has truly evolved into a timeless quality. It’s hard to believe that a sound like this will survive the test of 50 years. No, I never thought the original sound was this great in the first place. An amazing new excavation master that leaves you in awe of the historical spectacle of recording history and the depth of its possibilities. A superb audience recording of the “Sheffield performance on December 22, 1970” where “Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast” was performed. Although it is a famous recording for a long time, this work is a new excavation 1st gene master of a different dimension. Not only is “Eugene, beware of the ax”, which was previously missing, now included in its entirety, but the sound itself has been vastly upgraded. The strong hissing noise quickly cleared up, and the performance sound itself had a vivid outline and an overwhelmingly natural sound. In addition to “Aran,” you can also enjoy the ultimate experience of “Mystery,” which involves a power outage problem, and “Atom Shinbo,” a huge song that features brass and chorus.
