Description
This is the third day of the UK tour from January to February 1972, the Bournemouth performance on January 22nd. The recording of this performance includes “Recorder 1”, which is a poor sound quality recording of over 110 minutes from the beginning to the middle of the second part’s last “A Saucerful Of Secret”, but this board includes “Recorder 2”, another recording of the day that appeared in recent years. This is the same as the one included in the Gold Standard board “Eclipse Of The Dark Side”, and only “The Dark Side Of The Moon” from the first half of the show is recorded. Speak to Me is not included and it is a cut-in recording from Breathe, but the advantage of this board is that it uses “1st Gen” tape. In fact, the sound quality is much better than the Gold Standard board, which was low pitched and slow, and in fact, it is a “special A” class sound as an audience recording of this era, and you can enjoy “The Dark Side Of The Moon” for the third time in history and the second time as a complete performance. The sound quality is very on and clear. The sound is just close. Fans will be thrilled to hear the full story of the “early, unfinished madness” in such excellent sound, which is different in every sense from the finished version. There are plenty of things to listen to, such as The Mortality Sequence, which is only available in the connecting sequence part, Any Colour You Like, which is a short arrangement of less than 1 minute 30 seconds, and the ending part, which is an interesting arrangement that aims for a completely different early type direction from the dynamic and dramatic final form, which may be called Eclipse. This 1st Gen take of the first part of the Bournemouth performance, which can be said to be the best sample sound source of early madness, is a must-listen and must-have for all Western rock fans. This is a perfect piece for comparing the performance with the London performance on February 20th, the last day of the UK tour, which can be heard on the press version of the first completed form. A superb sound quality take of “Madness, Super Early”. Please enjoy this opportunity. Live at Winter Gardens, Bournemouth, UK 22nd January 1972 The Dark Side Of The Moon (43:18) 1. Breathe 2.
