Description
A compilation of British radio and TV broadcasts from 1968 to 1969, when the band was restructured after David Gilmour joined! Newly edited AI stereo and original mono complete recording definitive edition. A newly edited compilation series that chronologically traces the evolution of Pink Floyd, from Syd Barrett’s brilliant debut as a “psychedelic newcomer” in 1967 to the new lineup with David Gilmour joining in 1968, when the band established a solid position in British progressive rock in the 1970s. The second volume, titled “Innovative Period 1968∥1969,” covers the period from 1968 to 1969, when the band was restructured after David Gilmour joined. CD1 includes “AI Stereo New Master,” a stereo version of the broadcasts that were mono in the 1960s, using the latest AI demix. This new master, which has been reborn with a much clearer and more three-dimensional sound due to the separation of the sound compared to the original, has a high sound quality that surpasses the pseudo-stereo and official sound sources of the past, and is of a different dimension to the many BBC-related items so far. In addition, the “voice-over” that overlaps the DJ voice during the broadcast of some songs has been removed, and it is recorded in a stereo version of only the performance that has never been performed before. In terms of content, the titles are different “MURDEROTIC WOMAN” > (Eugene, watch out for the axe), “THE MASSED GADGETS OF HERCULES” > (mystery), single songs “Julia who disappeared in a dream” and “Blue sky Fantasia”, the unreleased song “Embryo” at the time, a part of the experimental suite “The Man And The Journey”, and the precious sound sources “SCIENCE SESSION” and “MOONHEAD” that are only available on TV broadcasts, etc. are recorded in chronological order from BBC radio and TV broadcasts. All interesting sound sources, such as studio live performance arrangements and unreleased songs, are recorded with the best sound. CD2 contains the original broadcast monaural sound source as “Original Mono Masters”. This is the original sound source that reproduces the DJ sound as it is, but it is an upgraded sound source that exceeds the BBC sound source recorded in the official box due to recent new excavations and new editing by a different master with improved sound quality. The second collection of the latest edited sound source, which is the culmination of Pink Floyd’s broadcast sound sources from 1968 to 1969, which was a musical turning point with the new system with the addition of David Gilmour.
