Pink Floyd’s second tour of Japan in March 1972 took place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on March 6th and 7th, the Osaka Festival Hall on the 8th and 9th, the Kyoto Prefectural Gymnasium on the 10th, and the Sapporo Nakajima Sports Center on the 13th. This edition includes the Osaka performances on the 8th and 9th, which were held in the Kansai area, and the Kyoto performance on the 10th, each recorded with high-quality audience recordings from the best master currently available. As for the first day performance in Osaka, it is a best version that has been applied only to pitch correction without any equalization from the original sound source used in the past “Darkest Moon” (now out of print), and is recorded for 2 hours and 5 minutes. The encore A Saucerful Of Secrets uses a rare take from “Missing Pieces” which first appeared in 2009, but this time it is recorded directly from the master cassette, so you can enjoy the performance with a direct sound different from the main part. The Kyoto performance is recorded for 1 hour and 37 minutes with surprisingly stable high-quality audience recording except for the encore song. Throughout the whole work, the performance and sound are very good, there is little sound muffled, and you can enjoy this precious recording take without any stress. All three performances are recorded in master quality, and a super-excellent title that Floyd fans around the world are paying attention to is decided to be released.
