Description

One of the most important images in progressive rock, the classic pro shot that made “The Wall seen with the eyes” a reality has been released. This work was filmed at the “February 27, 1980 Uniondale performance”. Its multi-camera pro shot. The story reenactment live has been held many times, but most of them were re-enactments by Roger Waters. PINK FLOYD’s original performance was only “THE WALL Tour 1980/1981” held in four cities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Various records have been unearthed from there, but the most important were the two multi-camera pro shots that made the “story seen with the eyes” a reality. The two types are London (Earls Court) and Uniondale (Nassau). First of all, let’s explore the position of this work from the too historical tour overview. 1980 February 7-13: Los Angeles (7 shows) February 24-28: Uniondale (5 shows) ←★Here★ August 4-9: London (6 shows) ←※Another professional shot 1981 February 13-20: Dortmund (8 shows) June 13-17: London (5 shows) A total of 31 shows. This work was the fourth of the five Uniondale shows. The professional shots taken at such a show have been famous for a long time, and this is the American version of the original “THE WALL Tour”! It has been loved as a representative video of. This work was a hot topic as a “major upgrade!” even for such a classic video. Although it does not reach the manuscript best press DVD “THE WALL LIVE IN NASSAU 1980 (Sigma 256)”, it was an up-master version that was completely different from the video that was pitch black. The excavated original tape had some flaws, but they were thoroughly repaired. For example, there are parts where the sound is cut off in parts of “One Of My Turns” and “Trial”, but this was supplemented with the audience recording of the same day, and the gap between the sound and the image from the middle of “Run Like Hell” to the end was also corrected. Currently, the image was as complete as possible. The revived “THE WALL Tour” is truly a historical cultural heritage. Planes that fly and explode in vivid colors, giant creatures, bizarre animations projected all over the walls, costumes and agitation reminiscent of the Nazis, and walls that collapse with a roar… In the official “IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?” and numerous audience albums, the scenes that could only be imagined from the sound and photos move around, and you can witness the spectacular show of the century in abundance. Moreover, since it is a professional shot rather than an audience shot, the camera knows “what will happen next” well, and captures the highlights one by one without missing any points and without delay. The performance depicted with that quality is different from the world of “THE WALL-LIVE IN BERLIN” which Roger later performed again, and “THE WALL LIVE 2010-2013” in recent years. Of course, there is a difference in technology due to the difference in era, but what is more striking than that is the performance itself. The real PINK FLOYD is performing here, and Roger’s singing voice is filled with a real-time soul that is not recreating a story but is trying to ask the world. And the enthusiasm of the audience witnessing it is also unique to that time. Rather than witnessing the “revival of the legend” with numerous anecdotes in mind, the shock of being hit by the “legend that is just being born”. It is the historical moment and the atmosphere of the era that are sealed in this work. This is “The Wall seen with your eyes”. This is a professional shot work that allows you to fully experience the “original performance” that shook the world with the highest quality in history. The great picture scroll that elevated rock, which was only an expression of young passion, to a comprehensive art, can only be truly experienced by witnessing it on video. The classic pro shot of the original “THE WALL Tour” has been released. The upgrade master, which is on a different level from the VHS era, has been meticulously mastered and polished. It is a cultural heritage where you can enjoy a historical story reenactment tour. Live at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, New York, USA 27th February 1980 PRO-SHOT 1. MC Intro 2.
