Description
The masterpiece “The Perfect Day” was released in master quality for the first time in 2002, based on Steve Hopkins’ recording of his Boston concert on June 27, 1977, and has been reproduced with the original artwork intact. The shock of the release of a super high-quality take comparable to a soundboard was amazing, and even if you listen to it again now, you can reaffirm the appeal of the clarity of the raw sound in the raw tape state. In the current release, the four cut parts of the Hopkins sound source are supplemented with the Dan Lampinski sound source that appeared in 2010 to create a pseudo-complete version, but at this stage, the cuts are left as they are on the tape, which is a nostalgic and interesting point. (4 seconds during “Pigs On The Wing Pt.1”, between “Dogs” and “Pigs On The Wing Pt.2”, the first 4 seconds of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 1-5”, and the second half of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 6-9”) After the show, Waters praised himself as “The Perfect End to The Perfect Day”. Enjoy the superb sound quality of Master Direct. Live at Boston Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA 27th June 1977 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(51:49) 1. Sheep 2. Pigs On The Wing 1 3. Dogs 4.
