This is the first long-awaited remastered version of the 1971 Rome performance, which has been out of print for a long time. A limited edition of 20 sets was released by the LEM label a few years ago, and since then there has been no resale, so most collectors probably do not own it. This is the definitive version of the 1972 Rome performance. The sound quality and content are outstanding, and it is a must-listen version for all fans with no problems at all. This is the longest and complete recording of the Rome performance on June 20th, the second day of the 1971 Italian performance, at 2 hours and 23 minutes (!). By adjusting the high range to the optimum state and slightly scaling up the overall volume, you can enjoy this master sound source with the best sound image. The opening is Atom Heart Mother, performed by only four people. You can enjoy the wonderful live performance of this period with a great sound including the guitar and organ in the middle. It also includes the early Echoes “The Return Of The Sons Of Nothing”, which has different lyrics and has been played on stage since May. Gilmour and Wright’s chorus is not yet complete (as is the guitar solo in the middle). After the second encore as a service on the last day of the Italian performance, Floyd plays Astronomy Domine, which will be removed from the set for the last time that day. Gilmour’s bottleneck playing in this song is powerful. This long version also exists among traders, but the pitch is nearly a semitone lower, so this version has been perfectly adjusted.
