Description
The Brescia recording, which has become a staple of the “ATOM HEART MOTHER Tour” since the 2020s. The highest peak update edition, polished by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”, is here. The “Brescia performance on June 19, 1971” is permanently preserved in this work. It is the best audience recording. The biggest point of this work is the upgraded quality, but first of all, the position of the show. 1971 was a time when PINK FLOYD progressed rapidly, and the meanings differ for each leg. First of all, let’s start by unraveling the overview of the activities at that time, as usual. “ATOM HEART MOTHER Tour” ・January 17th – February 27th: Europe #1 (10 shows) ←※M-502 and others ・April 3rd – July 1st: Europe #2 (20 shows) ←★Here★ ・August 6th – 15th: Japan / Australia (5 shows) ←※OSAKA 1971 and others ・September 18th – October 3rd: Europe #3 (7 shows) ←※MONTREUX 1971《October 4th – 7th: Filmed in Pompeii》 ・October 10th + 11th: UK (2 shows) “MEDDLE Tour” ・October 15th – November 20th: North America (27 shows ←※CLEVELAND 1971 and others This is PINK in 1971 FLOYD. The symbol of this is his first visit to Japan in August, but this work was a part of “Europe #1” about two months before that. Let’s focus on the schedule and organize it together with our collection. Details of “Europe #2” April 3rd – June 2nd (11 performances) * June 4th “DEEP IN SPACE (Dusseldorf)” * June 5th “BERLIN 1971: 1ST GEN” * June 12th “ROUNDHOUSE 1971 (Lyon performance SBD)” * June 15th “ROYAUMONT 1971 COLLECTOR’S EDITION” * June 19th: Brescia performance ← ★ This work ★ * June 20th “ROME 1971” ・ June 23rd: University of Hertfordshire performance * June 26th “AMSTERDAM FREE CONCERT 1971” ・ July 1st: Ossiach performance … and so it is. It was only in 2020 that this show started to attract attention. Until then, only one type of recording was known, but new recordings were discovered one after another. The number increased to five at once. Moreover, the quality was not half-baked. This work is a full live album that makes full use of these five recordings and updates the longest / highest peak. Now, let’s organize the five recordings and introduce the detailed upgrade contents. Details of the sound source ・ RECORDER 1: stratcat58 (3rd generation) * For supplement (long version) ・ RECORDER 2: Geloso G570 * For supplement ・ RECORDER 3: Trader sound source * For supplement (unused last time) ・ RECORDER 4: G.O. (1st generation) ・ RECORDER 5: Renzo Storti Master ← ★ Main sound source ★ The above five types. This work is mainly based on the best master “RECORDER 5”, while “RECORDER This is a live album complemented by “RECORDER 1, 2, 3”. The concept centered on “RECORDER 5” is the same as the previous album “DEFINITIVE BRESCIA 1971”, but this work was re-examined from the master and the accuracy was improved. First of all, the point of is the upgrade of the traditional recording “RECORDER 1”. In fact, a master longer than the conventional version was recently excavated. By adopting this longer version, this work has been made even longer. And the other is the adoption of “RECORDER 3”. Although it is only about 36 seconds as a supplementary supplement to the fourth number, it was made into a CD for the first time through thorough research. It was possible to reproduce the precious scene without missing the maximum. Although such a long length is meaningful, it is only a reference. More important than that is the sound that runs through the entire work. This is also improved in accuracy by meticulous mastering by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”. The work ranges from frequency band analysis, eliminating incongruities between sound sources, and noise processing, but the most effective was phase correction. The reverse phase of the best quality main sound source “RECORDER 5” has been correctly restored. This is not a mistake from the previous edition. For unknown reasons, “RECORDER 5” was released in a phase inverted state and distributed worldwide as is. However, it is certain that the phase is reversed if the performance sound in 1971 is used as a standard. In fact, this accurately corrected work is not only well-positioned, but the sound that was separated into left and right is stabilized. It has restored the original ensemble that PINK FLOYD played on site. The Brescia recording, which caused a shock as the “new standard of the ATOM HEART MOTHER Tour”. Five years have passed since that shock, and the new excavation rush seems to have come to an end. This work is the definitive edition that has updated the longest / highest peak by making full use of such existing masters. The truth about PINK FLOYD, who evolved day by day towards their legendary first visit to Japan. Newly mastered ’71 Brescia performance! The method of using Rec5, which is considered the best of the five existing sound sources, as the main source, and filling in the gaps with Rec2, Rec1, etc. is the same as the previous release, but the main Rec5 was in reverse phase on the previous release, so the main point is that this was corrected. In addition, the phase has been corrected, and the volume and bandwidth have been adjusted by EQ processing. The main sound source has been corrected for reverse phase, so the fluffy discomfort of the previous release has been eliminated, and the volume balance and EQ processing have been appropriately done, so you can experience the Brescia performance, which covers most of the representative live songs from this period, for 138 minutes with a solid sound that is extremely close to the performance. In addition, Rec3, which was not used on the previous release, has been selected for compensation. This means that the inter-song part before the Sun Hymn and the beginning of the Sun Hymn, a total of about 35 seconds, will be recorded on CD for the first time! In addition, the inter-song filler part before Fat Old Sun is about 17 seconds longer than the previous version, and this is also the first time it has been recorded on CD. [Sound source organization] Basically the same method as the previous version, but this time Rec3 is also used. Recorder 1: stratcat58 (3rd generation) ★ This time’s third sound source Recorder 2: Geloso G570 ★ This time’s sub sound source Recorder 3: ★ This time’s fourth sound source Recorder 4: G.O. The main recording, the best master “RECORDER 5”, has also been eliminated from the reverse phase, and the supplementary “RECORDER 1” uses the latest long version. “RECORDER 3”, which was not used in the conventional version, has also been utilized, and the precious scene has been reproduced without missing out on the maximum. This is the definitive edition that has polished the new standard of the “ATOM HEART MOTHER Tour” to the ultimate form.
