Description
The legendary recording of the 1972 tour where you can enjoy the prototype “Madness” has evolved to the ultimate! The release of the super-decided version that has updated the longest and highest peak by making full use of six different masters has been decided. The archive situation where new excavations have progressed significantly The “September 22, 1972 Los Angeles performance” is permanently preserved in this work. It is a super-excellent audience recording recorded at the famous outdoor venue “Hollywood Bowl”. This day is also known for the famous recording of “This is it!” that was left on the 1972 tour, and our shop has loved the previously released group with the previous edition “HOLLYWOOD BOWL 1972: COMPLETE EDITION” at the top. However, after the release of the previous edition, further new recordings / new masters were excavated one after another. This work is a true definitive edition that has updated the longest / highest peak by scrutinizing and fully utilizing all such existing records. Now, let’s check out the six recordings that are the basis of this work. Recorder 1 A famous recording known as the legendary edition “CRACKERS”. The master has already been lost, and this work has been digitized from the existing best 1st press LP.Recorder 2 The best recording, which is also the main part of this work. The conventional version was the 1st generation, but this work finally uses a DAT copy of the original master reel that was excavated.Recorder 3 Mono recording for compensation. “Speak To Me” is recorded for a long time, and it is also an essential record for updating the longest in the past.Recorder 4 This is also a mono recording for compensation. It has not been paid much attention, but detailed analysis has revealed that it records inter-song parts that are not recorded in other recordings.Recorder 5 A surprisingly important stereo recording. The voices of the nearby customers are thought to be a nuisance, but the parts where the surroundings are silent are high quality. The usable parts are quite usable hidden recordings, and are also the key to upgrading “Any Color You Like”.Recorder 6 Recording by the master John Wizard. Only for this day, it is for compensation only. A large expansion board that makes full use of six masters … and so it is. At the time of the previous edition, “Recorder 1, 2, 3” had been found. After that, “Recorder 4, 5, 6” were unearthed. This work uses all six of these. Of course, they were not all used by force, but all the recorded parts of all the recordings were washed out, and when they aimed for the maximum expansion without missing one second, it was necessary to record everything. And the expansion length is about six minutes. Each part of the show is a few seconds longer, but the biggest one is “Speak To Me” at the beginning. It was about two minutes on the previous edition, but this work is about four and a half minutes. Another big part was “Any Colour You Like” by compensation. There is a tape change cut at the end of this song, which was complemented by “Recorder 1” on the conventional edition. That was ant, but in “Recorder 1”, this part also had sound fluctuations. So in this work, it was replaced with “Recorder 5”. This recording is despised because the surrounding customers are a bit noisy, but the basic sound is great. Moreover, in this part, there was no surrounding noise, which greatly contributed to the stabilization of “Any Colour You Like”. A masterpiece from 1972 with a significant improvement in basic quality Although the expansion of each part is important, the basic sound is even more improved (significantly!). The key is the upgrade master of the best recording “Recorder 2”, which occupies the majority of this work. Until the previous edition, the 1st generation master was used, but after that, the original master reel was excavated. This work uses the DAT copy. The sound is exactly “peeled off” vividness. The transparency of the air has increased, and the clarity of the contours and the fineness of the details are even more prominent. Of course, it is not a processed production by equalization, so it is extremely natural, and even the fine details are fresh. Although it was the 1st generation before, it is an upgrade sound that reminds you once again that just one dubbing difference can make such a difference. Among the many 1972 recordings, the Hollywood Bowl performance has been loved as a masterpiece of “prototype madness” along with “RAINBOW THEATRE 1972 FINAL NIGHT”. This is the true definitive version that significantly updates the longest / highest peak. A complete album that was born only by making full use of six types of records. Remaster notes *Rec1 uses LP transfer sound source from 2021 *Rec2 is DAT copy sound source of master reel. Upgrade.
