Description

The first pressing of the original UK LP of “Madness” (Solid Blue Triangle’s gramophone version) is reprinted from the original. The first of the first editions, the extremely rare Matrix number “M-1” edition, which is extremely difficult to obtain, is recorded on disk 1, and the “M-2” edition is recorded on disc 2, an unprecedented planned edition. There is a theory among enthusiasts that “the first edition has a higher cutting level, has a sound groove closer to the label, and has better sound.” In particular, the first edition of this “Madness” has the best sound. However, it has become a well-established theory among enthusiasts since the past, and is a coveted item even among deep collectors. If you compare it with the current CD, you will be surprised by the thick, natural, and warm sound that you can hear on this edition, which far exceeds the official CD version. Unlike CDs, the edges of each sound part are not polished as much as necessary, but the poetic and fantastical sound image and sound world that the band seems to have truly aimed for is captured with the warmth unique to analog. With a harmonious and integrated sound, it reproduces the original sound exactly as it was. Disc 1 uses the familiar sound source that previously surprised hard maniacs as the master. All the needle crackling noises that were noticeable in the past were carefully and precisely removed, paying close attention so as not to affect the original sound. Without a doubt, you can experience the world’s best “madness”. The second half of the disc is treated as a bonus track, and includes an additional side 2 starting from Money, which is also a valuable master record of “Mobile Fidelity Sound Love.” The sound of the mobile version, which has a very high quality and highly complete sound image in a different sense from the original Solid Blue version, is smarter and has a neatly organized sound image. Instead, Disc 2 is the complete first appearance. This is a direct recording of the “M-2” board. This is a plump and warm sound that is different from Disc 1. Although the sound quality is extremely high, you can immediately tell that the texture of the sound is completely different. My impression is that it’s hard to choose one from the other even though they both have different sounds, but if you compare them, it seems that the M-1 is better in terms of how the sound penetrates. After all, this “M-1” is the sound closest to Master Reel in terms of freshness and amount of information. I don’t think there is anyone in this world who would think that listening to “M-2” is bad, but I get the impression that it has a “calmer sound” compared to “M-1”. This is also treated as a bonus track, the first song of the original Gramophone edition of “Meddle” and “Atom Heart Mother”, the first song of side 2 from Shimamo Matrix “M-1” One Of These Days and side 1 Atom Heart Mother Additional recordings are being made. Just like “Madness”, this is a very fresh sound that is completely different from the official CDs that we usually listen to! I can safely say that One Of These Days is the best take of the song I’ve ever heard. Is this the sound of the original master itself? You will stand in front of the speakers and listen with pure emotion. The condition of the record for “Meddle” seems to be very good, and there is no noise at all. Atom Heart Mother can hear some trace noise, but in fact, this is the main character behind the sound of this record. The sound is completely different from the modulated hardware and cymbals of the official edition, the natural placement and depth of the sound, the uncontrived echo feeling, and the sound as it was at the time are emitted from the speakers as if released. The performance is spectacular, and there is no doubt that fans will listen to it with great emotion at the very end. Because it’s a famous song that you’ve heard dozens or hundreds of times, it’s an exquisite sound that you can enjoy with deep emotion, thinking, “That’s what it really sounded like.” These records were played by the world’s leading enthusiasts on extremely sophisticated (and expensive) and valuable high-end audio systems, and it’s amazing to be able to listen to them in CD format like this. By acquiring this edition, you can enjoy plenty of vintage sounds that are rarely available. This is definitely recommended. Please come and experience the difference! !
