Complete recording of the final day of “The Wall” live performance held for 8 consecutive days in Dortmund, Germany on February 20, 1981 with the finest audience recording. Originally, it is a famous performance among traders for its good sound, but this edition contains a 1st gen take that exceeds the previous release that appeared in 2008. As described by the provider, German Hard Collector, as “The best version of this show”, it is recorded with a high quality sound that is completely different from the audience recording at the time, and is thick, punchy, and natural. The 1st Gen take that appeared this time has a cut at 1:57 of Mother, but this edition is patched with the Low Gen take of the same performance. The narration before In The Flesh in the second half is done in German, but Roger also joins in the middle and it becomes a skit style in German and English. Even though 35 years have passed since the end of the war, the hammer design reminiscent of Nazism, the racist agitation of In The Flesh, the right-wing Run Like Hell, and the lyrical imagery of Waiting For The Worms are still appealing to German audiences. It must have been quite stimulating content. In the second half of The Trial, there is a 7-second section from 4:40 of Judge Worm’s part (…before your peers. Tear down the wall!) where the tape undulates terribly, but this is due to technical trouble at the venue. It is said to be a problem, and the problem of this part can be heard in all the same takes in the past. At Outside The Wall, a big applause will be sent to the band that showed a great show.
