Description
Focusing on genres such as jazz and blues, for which there were almost no collector’s items at the time, a rare group of titles that were extremely popular with fans are now available. A remastered recording of the live performance at the Jazz Festival held in Nice, France on July 18, 1971 from an official quality soundboard. A mix of Coltrane’s free jazz and Albert Ayler’s spiritual jazz, with a funk essence woven into it, allowing you to enjoy a play that gives you a sense of the worldview unique to Pharaoh Sanders. It was at its peak when the masterpieces “Senbi” and “Black Unity” were released. What’s more, the piano was played by Ronnie Liston Smith, and you can catch a glimpse of the gorgeous playing that would lead to the later funk-jazz band “Cosmic Echoes,” which is a must-see.
