Description

An ultra-high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the second day of the Philadelphia Spectrum performance on July 21st from the 1987 US tour accompanying “So,” which topped the album charts in the UK and the US and became the most commercially successful album. Complete recording. In addition to the familiar Tony Levin and David Rose, members with outstanding skills include David Sancious on keyboards and Manu Kache on drums, creating a high-quality ensemble. The performance is solid, tight, and well-organized, yet gives a sense of raw momentum in many places, and is a masterpiece. From this tour, the set list has changed completely, featuring the new “So” number extensively from the middle to the latter half, making it an easy-to-understand set that will be more popular with the general public. The opening song is San Jacinto, which has an ethnic mood from the fourth album, and Red Rain, which decorates the beginning of the new song “So,” is played dramatically. Following the hit single Shock The Monkey from the previous album, Not One Of Us, which was not played at the previous night’s show, followed by Intruder and Games Without Frontiers, who played three songs from the third album in a row, followed by the hit singles Big Time and Don. They performed four consecutive “So” numbers live, including ‘t Give Up. A well-balanced and wonderful set with early classics Solsbury Hill, Here Comes The Flood, Lay Your Hands On Me from the third, the big hit from the new album Sledgehammer, 11 minutes of In Your Eyes, and the encore classic Biko. You can enjoy it all at once. One of the best sound quality and content. With extremely good sound, this is an ultra-high quality title that is sure to become a standard as the definitive version of the SO tour! ! Disc 3 is a must-see video title for fans that includes the Philadelphia Spectrum performance on July 21, 1987, recorded in high-quality professional shots for 1 hour and 51 minutes. Although it is clearly an image that is mastered by video, both the image quality and sound are very good, and you can enjoy the set from this period with stress-free, high-quality images. The uncollected No Self Control is included in “SLEDGE BLOW”, which uses a leaked version of the sound board recording master. (On the contrary, Not One Of Us and Intruder from “SLEDGE BLOW” are not included in the video version “PHILADELPHIA 1987”) By comparing with the CD, you can see that the gaps between songs have been edited, as seems to be the video title. There is no tracking noise problem peculiar to video, and the quality is excellent, allowing you to enjoy almost the entire show. It would have been nice to have a detailed description of the scene in This Is The Picture, which also serves as an introduction to the band, in which all the members perform in a row, the stage production that could not be understood from the sound alone, and Peter’s original performance. A must-have disc for fans who can enjoy high-quality live performances filled with endless highlights with realistic pro-shot footage. Comes with original menu.
