Description
The North American leg of “WINGS OVER THE WORLD TOUR,” Wings’ first and only U.S. tour. The iconic concert movie “ROCKSHOW” is now available in the highest quality. [The best and complete version of a classic movie in rock history] There is no need to explain this masterpiece movie. This is a live video that allows you to witness “WINGS OVER THE WORLD TOUR” and is a masterpiece among masterpieces that also serves as the video version of “WINGS OVER AMERICA”. It was assembled from four shows: “New York performance on May 25, 1976 (4 songs),” “Seattle performance on June 10, 1976 (5 songs),” and “Los Angeles performance on June 22 + 23 of the same year (15 songs + 6 songs).” This is a multi-camera professional shot. This is also a good opportunity, so be sure to check the show position from the schedule at that time. 1975《VENUS AND MARS” released on May 27th》・September 9th-23rd: UK #1 (13 performances)・November 1st-14th: Australia (9 performances) 1976・March 20th Sunday-26th: Europe #1 (5 performances)《“WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND” released on March 25th》・May 3rd-June 23rd: North America (31 performances)←★Here★・September 19th-27th: Europe #2 (4 performances) October 19th-21st: UK #2 (3 performances)《“WINGS OVER AMERICA” released on December 10》》This is “WINGS OVER THE WORLD TOUR” Big picture. The North American leg began immediately after the release of “WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND” and toured the United States with a total of 31 performances. The four shows that formed the basis of this work were concerts corresponding to the 16th performance, 24th performance, 30th performance, and 31st performance, respectively. Well, “ROCKSHOW” was born from such a show, but various versions have been created throughout its history. The full 125-minute version was released theatrically in 1980, but the software version released in 1981 was cut to 102 minutes. Furthermore, the 1986 Japanese broadcast version was 40 minutes long, and the 2007 version of “THE McCARTNEY YEARS” only had 7 songs…and became shorter and shorter. That changed in 2013. A complete version DVD/BD was released along with the theatrical re-screening. However, seven years have passed since then, and the official DVD/BD has been discontinued, and even second-hand copies have begun to command premium prices. [Japan Broadcasting version with original production] This work is also a complete version of such “ROCKSHOW”, but of course it is not a copy of the official product. This is a DVD version of the Japanese broadcast version that was aired on the famous satellite broadcast program “Western Music Live Legend.” Its quality is superb. In fact, this broadcast took place on October 17, 2013, about four months after the official DVD/BD release. It was a special to commemorate the 100th edition of “Western Music Live Legend,” but it was also a promotion for the official DVD/BD, so the official master was broadcast as is. The visual beauty is completely official, but the content is not as it is. The MC has Japanese subtitles unique to the program, and there is also a corner at the beginning that explains the work itself. The person in charge of the narration is the familiar Chris Pep○, who is also a descendant of Mitsuhide Akechi. Although it is a quick start, he talks about the meaning of this work from the dissolution of the Beatles, his solo debut, and a brief history of Wings. There’s nothing particularly unusual about the story, but the elegant deep voice enhances the introduction to the movie. A masterpiece among concert movies that symbolizes not only the world tour but also Wings itself. This is the Japan Broadcasting version where you can easily enjoy the complete version. Not only can it be used as a separate version collection to place next to the official DVD/BD, but it is also a piece that should be enjoyed by those who missed out on getting it as an official product.
