The latest collector’s edition is here, featuring the surviving soundboard recordings and professional shot footage from Paul McCartney’s final UK tour as Wings in 1979! The two CDs feature the Glasgow performance, the only concert complete soundboard recording from the 1979 tour, remastered to the highest quality. The set list includes songs from the album “Back to the Egg,” the hit single “Goodnight Tonight,” and the new songs “Coming Up” and “Wonderful Christmastime,” which were first performed live, making it a historic live recording that should be called a miracle that all the songs from the concert still exist. Next, nine surviving soundboard recordings from the London Hammersmith performance, known as the “Cambodian Relief Concert.” In addition, all the major recordings from 1979, including rehearsals, an edited version of “Coming Up,” and a live performance during Buddy Holly Week, are included. The DVD includes a complete compilation of the edited versions of the “Cambodian Relief Concert” broadcast on TV at London Hammersmith. The latest restored and remastered stereo version of the TV broadcast, which was mono at the time, is included, as well as the long version with additional songs not included in the VH-1TV version, the alternate version with pre-broadcast editing and different angles, and the satellite broadcast version, all recorded in the best quality ever. In addition, a tour report containing valuable rehearsals and Liverpool performances, as well as Buddy Holly Week and Rockestra footage, are all included in this professional shot video.
